Additional Information

The inner estuary of the Gulf of Guayaquil hosts a native group of bottlenose dolphins. This distinct group has existed separately for millennia from other ordinary bottlenose dolphin settlements found along the Ecuadorian coastline. They have adapted to live in this forceful environment marked by vast tide variations, less salt content, powerful currents, and high-density life.

Your trip leader is a marine biologist who has spent three decades studying this endangered community of dolphins. Tour boats cater to the researcher’s need by serving as data collection points for managing the dolphin population.

An amazing experience - The experience was amazing, we enjoy it, and learned a lot about nature, birds, and the fantastic dolphins. Fernando Félix is an expert biologist, who specializes in marine mammals. The trip is very educative because you learned a lot about the different species around We hardly recommend it.
