Additional Information

Nationally known for its mole, tacos, sandwiches, candies, and fried masa snacks, the city of Puebla is a food lover’s paradise.

On this tour, you’ll feast on tacos \’rabes with smoky chipotle salsa, which were invented not too far from the Z\’ocalo. You’ll try a crunchy pelona, a sandwich of shredded beef, Mexican cream and salsa served on fried bread. You’ll also try the cemita, Puebla’s most famous sandwich, filled with pounded-thin, breaded steak, stringy quesillo, sweet chipotles, and bitter p\’apalo herb, all on a lightly crunchy roll. Local flavor in Puebla - Maria made this tour great! The food was amazing, but Maria's warmth, enthusiasm and knowledge made it special. We tasted many of the local specialties and each stop was an adventure. We learned not only about the food, but the people that made it. This was a highlight of our visit to Puebla and highly recommend

Incredible Cultural and Culinary Experience - Toti’s tour through Mexican cuisine and culture was INCREDIBLE. We did Family Friendly Streets and Sweets in downtown Mexico City with 4 adults and 4 kids ages 10-12. Everyone absolutely loved it! My daughter said she’d give Toti “one billion stars.” Toti is a delightful person who warmly and authentically connected with us. She shared her expertise and love of food with humility and passion. She gave the perfect amount of information, varied the flavors, and ensured both kids and adults had a rich experience. We sampled everything from shrimp soup to Chinese grenade fruit to garlic grasshoppers to tacos pastor…and the list goes on. If you only do one thing in Mexico City - spend an afternoon with Toti. You will fondly carry the experience in your heart and mind forever and always!

Deliciosa foodie tasting tour! - Ayline (?spelling) our foodie guide was fantastic! We had a great time wandering with her from place to place in Puebla as she explained the local ingredients and preparations of all the foods we ate. What we couldn’t finish eating, she donated to people on need en route. All food choices for the afternoon were delicious. We highly recommend this walking food tour!!

Great introduction to puebla - We did this on our first full day in Puebla and it was a great introduction to the city not only for food but also for the sights. She has perfect English and worked to share her love of Mexican food with us. We were in a place getting Mexican sweets and one member of our group mentioned she loves chocolate but not other sweets. As we left the store our guide saw someone selling Mexican chocolate and crossed the street to buy some to show. We went to 6 different places and got a good assortment of food.

The Best Food Tour In Mexico - We took three food tours in Mexico, and BY FAR the best one was with Maria in Puebla. This tour was everything a food tour should be. It involved sampling lots of different, local foods from many vendors that you would never know to go to on your own. It also involved walking around various neighborhoods and hearing about the history of the city and the food. We had our two children with us and they loved the tour just as much as we did, especially the stop at the oldest family-run candy store (which we went back to the next day).

Way to expensive but nice guide - We had 6 stops of which 3 where streetfood. Since it is a lot of food in general we also split the plates at those places. I am not complaining about the quality of the food, everything was very tasty. But in our opinion the tour was way to expensive and most of the money probably doesnt reach the guide but is kept by the company behind it. The Guide was super friendly and very knowledgeable.

Good tour but overpriced - We enjoyed the tour and Maria was great but we thought it was overpriced. There were 3 of us and we received no discount, at $380 aud for 3 people it was very expensive
