    - GV38+QF Páty - We will visit an extraordinary and magical wine cellar village where you can see 250 wine cellars. These cellars were built 180-220 years ago. The location is only 20 minutes drive from Budapest. These wine cellars are really magical indeed. They look like the hobbit’s burrows from the Shire from the Lord of the Rings movie.

Magical and mystical - This was a wonderful experience and day!
Micki is a delight and knows everything there is to know about Hungarian wine!
Getting out of the hustle and bustle of Budapest and finding myself in a truly remote and mystical part of the world trying wines and authentic Hungarian snacks was purely magical!! Would highly recommend this 🍷

Unforgettable Hungarian Wines - Miki is a very special guy, wine journalist and entrepreneur. He communicated with us weeks prior to our tour; provided gluten free bread and took us on an unforgettable wine journey to the wine village of Páty. We learned and tasted the incredible wines of Hungary, that are much more than tokaji. He introduced us to Bridget Bernard a local winemaker continuing her family’s tradition of growing and making wine. We were also lucky enough to visit his wine bar, “Wine the Gap”. While in Budapest if you don’t have time for a tour definitely stop by and see Miki. He started as a guide and ended up being a friend!

Great day tasting wine - Overall a fantastic experience, Miki our very experienced wine educator drove us out to small wine cellars about 40 mins from the center of Budapest. We dropped down into a lower level and drive along small country roads to our stop, a beautiful area lined with small family wine cellars, we stopped at two enjoying a selection of Whites, Rose and Reds, the second coming with some cheeses, bread and meats. The group size was small eight people from around the world and Miki, had us very focused as he went through the wines and the regions plus the history of Hungarian wine.

Budapest Wine Tasting Tour is a must do! - What an awesome tour! It's so worth the money. Miki was fabulous. He has a vast knowledge of wine and was very interesting to talk to. The fact that we were the only ones on the tour made it feel extra special and unique. The ambiance was so peaceful and welcoming. The number of snacks and wine was bountiful; everything was fresh and tasty. The pours were generous. This tour was the highlight of our Budapest experience. Take advantage of this exclusive tour. Must do winery tour a short drive from Budapest - Wonderful drive out to the country side village of Paty. Miki was very informative about Hungary, wine and lot more. At the winery that was first established in 1856 we tasted quite a few different wines and even some from the barrel. The cheese, breads, olives and even an amazing home made dessert that the winery owners mother prepared for us. The weather was great, we sat out on a picknick bench. We got an amazing education from Miki and highly recommend his tour. His englsh was prefect

Wonderfulical wine experience near Budapest - Meeting the winemaker and her mother was fabulous. Also, tasting homemade foods, including dessert, was amazing. Wine was good too, and Mickie clearly knows wine and imparts his enthusiasm along with his knowledge. Learned a lit.

A Most Unique Tour! - This is the most unique wine tour we have been on! Miki is passionate about Hungarian wine and we learned a lot! The wine cellars are essentially Hobbit houses - carved into the earth and topped with grass. Not sure you could experience this without a guide! We tasted about 6 wines and had lots of local meat, cheese and bread. The cellar owner was very proud to have us taste his wines. As a small production cellar (1000 bottles a year) it was amazing the variety of wines he had. We even got to pour the bottle of white we bought before we left! Highly recommended!
