Fun experience! - Diogo was a wonderful host for this experience. We did this wine tasting on our first day in the Azores which was a nice introduction to the culture and cuisine of the country. Wine and cheese was yummy!

A great Evening of Wines and Cheeses!!! - We had a really great private wine tasting with Diogo from Hungry Whales. As we were there in early February, we were the only guests for the evening. We started off with a sweet wine wine and then had some dry white wines and assorted cheeses from the Azores. Diogo talked about the history of wine making in the Azores and also cheese production on the islands. We then switched to a couple of reds with accompanying cheeses. I was startled to learn that originally the wine production focused on white wines and red wines are much more recent. We finished with another sweet wine and our evening was done. Even though we were the only ones there, we did not feel rushed and had ample time to enjoy the wines and cheeses.

A highlight of our time in Punta Delgada - What a wonderful evening of Açores wine and cheese. Rafael and his assistant (sorry missed his name) gave a wonderful tour of the history of wine and wine making from the various islands, along with pairing cheeses and fruit from the Açores and Portugal region. Informative, lively and fun. There were three in our party and we joined three other couples all unrelated when we started but friends by the time we finished (max of 10 people per session). If you like wine, cheese and history you will love this, highly recommended.

Culture, History, WOW Flavors. and Socializing that my palet and memory will relish as my new gauge of comparison. - The setting gave me the feeling of stepping into an old European time capsul home. The schooling provided by Michael professional and very interesting, keeping all of us entertained and thirsting for more. Teamed with Pedro the service that these two men provided was absolutely wonderful. The cheeses and sides were delectable, and the wines absolutely delicious. Would I attend this wine and cheese pairing experience again or recommend it? Without any hesitation, I absolutely would!!!
