Additional Information

Emerging from the Murge plateau, nestled between the Itria Valley and the entrance to Salento, its roots date back to the 16th century. This business has been handed down through four generations, maintaining the authentic essence of Apulian farming for many years. The starring characters of this agricultural scene are the cows. Their daily milking provides high-quality milk which, used in our own dairy, becomes the key ingredient that starts everything. The diligent work of skilled hands in producing local cheeses and dairy products ensures our clients receive only the freshest and most delectable products.

The Best Mozzarella Farm Tour! - If you are planning to see how Mozzarella is produced, going to a farm (masseria) is the only way. And if you are going to visit a Mozzarella producing farm - Seppunisi Is The Masseria to visit. The owners are present living there and We're most welcoming from the initial contact through our arrival and the entire tour. We got to meet the family (including pets a child). We got to interact with the cows, watch production and actually (try to) make the cheese ourselves! The staff was very knowledgeable and spoke English very well. At the end Of the tour they had prepared a wonderful meal including their cheese, some other cheeses, crackers and some wine. And they certainly did not push post tour sales. What a fantastic experience.

Fun morning on the farm - What a fun and informative morning with Giuseppe at Masseria Seppunsi. We met the cows, learned about the criteria for the best milk, stopped in the milking room and the collection point. Then it was on to the manufacturing area where we were introduced to the art of cheese making and the various cheeses that are produced here. Great to get our hands wet making mozzarella ourselves. From the start to the finish, including a snack of various cheeses, wine, meat and bread, it’s an awesome experience. Fun to see the passion for his business as Giuseppe shares his craft.

Informative and fun! - What a great tour - so informative and fun! Giuseppe and Wendy (the English interpreter) were wonderful. The cows looked happy and were well taken care of (there were also a couple of sweet, cheese-loving cats hanging around). Learning how cheese is made was fascinating and making mozzarella and burrata was such fun. The cheese is next level delicious! We wish we lived nearby so we can always buy cheese from them!

Happy cows! - This is a wonderful tour of the dairy farm which lasts over a couple of hours. Giuseppe the owner's son gives a really informative tour of the farm, the cows, the milking parlour and the cheese cellar. He then gave us a live demonstration of mozzarella making and we had the chance to make some too! It's great fun and the kids can get involved. At the end there is a whole selection of cheese to taste, including the mozzarella you have made yourself! Wine is included, focaccia and a little tasty dessert. So lovely to see a genuine family run farm where the cows are obviously happy and the products are delicious!
