A Warm Welcome to the Underwater World

As a marine biologist, the ocean has always been my second home, yet each dive brings a new thrill and a fresh perspective. My recent adventure in Protaras, Cyprus, was no exception. The allure of discovering the underwater wildlife of Cyprus was irresistible, and I found myself at the Taba Diving Centre, ready to embark on a journey beneath the waves.

The team at Taba Diving Centre welcomed me with open arms, their camaraderie and passion for diving evident from the start. Pete, our instructor, was a seasoned diver whose expertise and calm demeanor immediately put me at ease. The dive shop was immaculate, and the equipment top-notch, reflecting the team’s dedication to providing a safe and enjoyable experience.

Our first dive was a Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) session in the tranquil waters of Blue Bay. As I took my first breath underwater, a familiar sense of wonder washed over me. The crystal-clear waters revealed a vibrant world teeming with life. Lionfish, pufferfish, and a myriad of other marine creatures danced around us, their colors vivid against the azure backdrop. Pete’s guidance was invaluable, his ability to anticipate our needs and answer our questions making the experience both educational and exhilarating.

With the success of our first dive, the prospect of a second dive was too tempting to resist. We ventured to Green Bay, where the conditions were a bit more challenging. The waves added an element of excitement, and I relished the opportunity to test my skills in a new environment.

Pete’s familiarity with our equipment and his reassuring presence made the dive seamless. As we descended into the depths, the underwater landscape unfolded before us, a mesmerizing tapestry of coral and marine life.
