Fly Fishing River Holaa, Iceland - I really enjoyed my day on the Holaa River with guide, Ari, in spite of the dismal weather (rain and wind all day). Ari showed me how to fish this water and where to find fish. I hooked about a dozen fish, mostly Arctic Char, and two brown trout, on tiny black midge pupae. I got most of the fish to the net, but a couple managed to wriggle off the small hook. As a professional fly fishing guide myself, I appreciated Ari's local knowledge, and his good company made the day really enjoyable. Paul, from Calgary, Canada.

Fantastic Fly Fishing Experience - We had a fantastic day! I surprised my husband with this private tour, & our guide (Mike), was great! It was really too cold for much activity (end of April), so we didn’t get many fish, but he was patient in teaching me how to cast. My husband loved it & it was a perfect ending to a wonderful trip!

Private Fishing from Reykjavik - Really enjoyed the outing. Hooked a lot of artic char. Our guide, Ari, was truly great. Not only as a fishing guide, as would be expected. He also explained a lot about Iceland: its land, culture, and geology. Bill and Suzy

Superb guided one day fishing trip - I have just had a one day guided salmon fishing trip with Heimir on the River Leirvogsa. From the initial enquiry right through to saying goodbye at the end of the day the service was impeccable. A superb guide and top quality equipment. I caught 6 salmon on the day (4 to flies and 2 to worm) and lost 2. I flew back to the UK and Heimir and his wife have arranged for some of the salmon to be smoked and couriered to me.

Excellent Trip. Caught lots and f char - Great guide. Very knowledgeable. Put me on a lot of fish!!! Landed at least 10 artic char. Hooked up a number more but using small nymphs it was tough to get them to net. Brown trout were still in the lakes and had not migrated into river to spawn. Highly recommend to others.

Had a blast and would book with them again! - Had an amazing time going fly fishing in Iceland with my brother and his wife! Heimir's guide service was excellent! All the email communication leading up for booking made everything very easy. We were picked up by Mikki at our Airbnb in Reykjavik and taken off to a successful day of char fishing. Almost snagged a massive brown trout too! Really enjoyed everything about the day and thought the guide service provided was excellent! We would book with Go Fishing Iceland again in a heartbeat and would recommend them for anyone else considering fly fishing in Iceland.

A fantastic day! - What a fantastic day we had with our guide Ari. He picked us up right on time and on the way to the river Ari told us so much about Iceland. We had a stopover at the Thingvellir National Park before heading on to the Holaa river. It was our first day of fly fishing and Ari with his great experience and endless patience taught us to cast and amazingly both of us managed to catch fish within a few minutes and overall we caught 15 arctic char. In brief this trip was amazing for us as fly fishing beginners but the expertise and friendly atmospheres Ari was providing made it to an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend Go Fishing Iceland for their first class services. Klaus and Ulrike from Germany
