Additional Information
Many people fly to Bali to enjoy its beautiful beaches and to unwind. However, if you are a more adventurous visitor, it also has several exciting sights, one of which is Ijen! It’s a volcano complex that creates hypnotic blue flames from ignited sulfuric gas that seeps through its fractures. You can join this activity with us for a hassle-free hiking at Ijen, and we will have everything ready for you! You will be picked up from your accommodation, escorted by an expert trekking guide, and all payments and permissions will be taken care of! All you have to do is pack your personal gear and meals and prepare to be amazed by the blue fires once you arrive to the crater! A brief break at a local coffee farm is also included, allowing you to recover and unwind before returning home.

A huge highlight! - Although the weather wasn’t ideal during our trip, Gusti and Shirley went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable with proper rain gear and a hiking pace that fit our fitness level. Gusti’s photo + video taking skills are second to none so you are bound to get the best media content! This tour has been a huge highlight of my Indonesia trip! Thank you for everything!

An impressive trip to the island of Java! - Gusti is the best driver! If we go to other destinations, we will definitely go with him!
On this tour, the locations are located far from each other, so be prepared. Despite the long journeys, Gusti did everything for our comfort and to reduce travel time! For example, at the Banyuwangi crossing, I agreed with the port employee to take us onto the nearest ferry when there was only enough space for our car)) This way we saved time for rest before climbing Ijen.
In the Bromo Tengger Semeru park, we did not see a panorama from the hill of three volcanoes at dawn, since the weather was cloudy, Gusti suggested going to the following locations, and then, when the sky cleared, he took us to another point (not included in the tour) , where we saw a panorama of volcanoes. We are very grateful!
The hotels on the tour were as close as possible to all the attractions, so getting to the track took a minimum of time, and we reached the panorama of Tumpak Seva on foot in 5 minutes!
The guides on our journey were as sympathetic as possible, actively took pictures of us, and helped us with tracking.

Good trip - The views were amazing, it is pretty hard hike, but doable.
Our driver was excellent as was the quide.
The homestay was good enough for few hours of sleep and shower afterwards.

Most convenient way to visit Ijen from Bali - Even if March is not the best month to visit Ijen, we had a great experience. Our driver was very professional, friendly and always on time. He also was flexible when we asked him for short stops, to grab a coffee or snacks.
The homestay (although basic) was more than enough to get some rest before the hike, the people there were lovely and we felt welcome.
The hike itself was a bit more challenging than expected, mostly due to the rain and wind.
But we couldn’t have a better guide! Sherly is very experienced. He took as through shortcuts to avoid the "traffic" which made the hike much safer, especially going up from the crater.
He helped my friend and was holding her hand through all the slippery and muddy parts of the route.
We felt safe with him through the whole hike and since he has worked at Ijen also as a miner he knows very much about the area.
In addition to that he is very kind and fun to be around, he took some great pics for us, he’s patient and always adapted to our pace.
And even though we couldn’t enjoy the sunrise cause of the weather conditions, Sherly made our hike/climb an amazing experience! 10/10

This is a total must do trip if you are in Bali/Java - We had an amazing trip to Mount Ijen. It was way more than we anticipated or expected. Quite a challenging climb but Breathtaking views; Serly was fantastic , really helpful and super informative and he went out of his way to get us the best photo shots possible. Clearly he has done the hike many times and knows the best routes to go. We felt safe in his hands and he made the trip even better than it could have been.

The blue flames of Ijen volcano are worth it - Ultimately, the blue flames of Ijen volcano lived up to the hype. Our driver, Gusti, was on time and picked us up right from our hotel. He made an unexpected stop at the Luwak Coffee which turned out to be amazing. The homestay accommodations were great for what we needed, a place to rest our heads for a few hours before the 2am hike start time. Our guide, Sherly, was very knowledgeable and amazing and very willing to take pictures. The blue flames from the high surfer content, one of two volcanoes that produce these in the world were definitely the highlight. The hike down to the flame location could be difficult for some. The hike out with a stop towards the top of the volcano for the sunrise was a close second to the blue flames, we got some amazing pictures. Our only disadvantage was the distance from our hotel to the volcano. The ride to and from was tough at times with all the traffic, Gusti, was more than willing to make a stop or two to accommodate our needs. All in all I would highly recommend this volcano hike, it made for an amazing experience and created memories that will last a lifetime.

Masterpiece of nature - If you have the chance you should try it, no matter how hard the trip is, it's worth it. You will never be able to imagine the wonderful beauty of nature and the blue fire in only two places in the world. The only thing that was detrimental to the trip was the smell of sulfur in the air. If your health is not good, don't worry too much because there is support from local services. You just need to try a little and many surprises await you.

Highly Recommend for Ijen and Java trip - A fantastic experience on our trip to Ijen
If you’re planning a trip to Ijen, Indonesia, I highly recommend booking this tour with Driver Gusti. My experience was exceptional from start to finish.
