Palcoyo Rainbow Mountain Third View - We will pick you up early from your Cusco hotel around 05:00 am and set out on
a drive through the Southeast of Cusco Valley. The drive to the trailhead at 4,326 m
(14,189 ft) is 03:30 hours long.
On the way we will provide you Breakfast (at the hotel you may not have option
to get breakfast). We then start off on our hike, following a lovely stream. Literally
herds of alpacas and llamas will immediately surprise you.
In this Journey we will hike approximately 30 mins, we finally reach our destination,
what we came to see the Rainbow Mountains of Palcoyo 5,020 m (16,466 ft).
After getting over the shock of their beauty, you will have time to explore the area.
You will have time to take pictures and soak in the environment. We will spend
approximately 01 hour at the top so you will have time to see also the lovely natural
Rock formation in the area.
At this point, it is time to go back down. We hike downhill the way we came. The
hike will be another 30 min. Our private van will be waiting for us when we return.
We will embark on the 03 hours’ drive back to Cusco and drop you off at your
Cusco hotel. Approximate arrival time is between 04:00 to 05:00 pm.

Palccoyo is still not as crowded by travelers, so you will not have problems if you want to take a quiet walk, which connects you with nature without interruptions.
During the route to Palccoyo, an impressive stone forest will attract all your attention. Take the opportunity to take the best pictures and look closely at alpacas and llamas. From each viewpoint that the route offers, you will have the opportunity to appreciate the Ausangate mountain, the fifth highest mountain in Peru.

Out of this world landscape - Judith was an awesome tour guide. She met us the night before at our hotel for a briefing of the next day's activities. She gave us blankets so we could sleep before our breakfast stop. The road on the way is quite primitive and bumpy, so be prepared for a rough ride. Seeing the green mountainside scattered with herds of alpacas was quite a sight. Judith was funny, informative and is very good at taking pictures/videos of our group at Palcoyo mountain. The view from the peak is incredible, with snow capped mountains, red valleys and rainbow mountains.

Entertaining walk and dance at 5000 meters high. - The trip was a little tiring, but thanks to Judith's company it was unforgettable. Good guide and excellent photographer and dancer. Without a doubt, thanks to Judith it has been unforgettable.
