Transfer from Cape Town to Sanbona Wildlife Reserve

Cape Town - You will be picked up at your accommodation in Cape Town and surrounds at 8:00am and travel to Sanbona Wildlife Reserve. Guests are required to be at the Welcome Lounge at Sanbona by 12:00pm, and it is 3-hours, 30-minutes traveling time to get there. We will drive along the N1 through the Du Toit’s Kloof tunnel, joining the beautifully scenic Route 62 and then through the towns of Robertson, Ashton and Montagu before arriving a short while later at Sanbona Wildlife Reserve. The Route 62 is known as the longest Wine Route in the world.

Sanbona Wildlife Reserve - Upon arrival at the welcome lounge at 12:00pm, you will receive a refreshment before being transferred to your Game Lodge at Sanbona. Then you will be shown to the dining room for lunch. After lunch it is time to check-in at your accommodation. In the evening you will be taken for a game drive amid spectacular displays of light as the evening sun sets over the Little Karoo. Game drives are 3 - 3.5 hours and led by a qualified game ranger in a comfortable open Landcruiser 4x4 Truck. During the drive, you will be able to see many different species of plants, animals, big game and birds. Upon your return, you will be greeted with some pre-dinner drinks and a delicious dinner at the lodge before retiring for the night.

Sanbona Wildlife Reserve is a private reserve and cannot be compared to larger Safaris like Kruger National Park. Private Wildlife or Game Reserves have a limit to the number of animals they are allowed to have on their game farm.

Underwhelming - A transfer booked directly with Sanbona is cheaper. I did not see the value of this, especially since we did not stop at any vineyard or winery.
