- Galleon Beach - WE TOUR Nelson’s Dockyard and Shirley’s Heights, finally we will be snorkeling for about an hour around a couple shipwrecks and looking for turtles, we normally always encounter them, but it depends on the visibility that day. I would say 85-90% of guests encounter turtles. If you are a decent swimmer we will also check out The Pillars Of Hercules. THIS IS NOT A BOAT TOUR! Admission to the national parks is 15$USD which gives you two tickets one for Nelson’s Dockyard and one for Shirley’s Heights. So to clarify you only pay one time for both parks!

EXPERIENCE NELSON’S DOCKYARD, SHIRLEYS HEIGHTS, AND SNORKELING: Get ready for a guided adventure led by a local spearfisher. Immerse yourself in the exotic allure of the island, both above and below the waves, where you stand a high chance of snorkeling alongside sea turtles and sighting two submerged shipwrecks! The snorkeling spot is mostly in shallow waters off a beach. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A BOAT TOUR. Our snorkel guide, an experienced spearfisher, will reveal aquatic marvels hitherto unknown to you! This is an exclusive tour, tailored only for you. The duration is approximately 4 hours, with chilled water supplied in the vehicle. Note that lunch is not part of the tour. Videos of your underwater exploration around shipwrecks and turtles will be emailed to you after the tour. Opting out of snorkeling is not an issue, and not every participant is required to snorkel if they wish not to. Entrance fees to national parks are separate and not included. A pair of tickets cost 15$ USD, indicating you pay just once.

Johnny is a top tier tour guide! - We had a terrific experience with Johnny. We are two Canadians visiting the island for the first time, and he provided a fun, beautiful excursion. He was accommodating of what we wanted to do (even found us a fruit stand to buy fresh fruit at) and answered all of our questions (life in Antigua, history of the island, what each fish’s name were). The snorkeling was fantastic! Really enjoyed spending time with and getting to know Johnny, and we highly recommend this tour.

Best Private Tour on the Island! - Johnny was a wealth of knowledge not only on the marine life but also on the country. The snorkeling was incredible! We saw turtles, octopus, and even spotted eagle ray's. I highly recommend the private tour especially if you don't like large crowds.

Thanks Johnny - Johnny was great. He had excellent communications with us before the tour to put us at ease. He was early for our departure when we got off our cruise ship. He took fantastic videos of the sea turtles, octopus, lionfish, stingray etc. This tour was everything that we had expected and more.

Beautiful antigua with a local! - We had a great time on this tour. Pick up was easy. Our guide was a local. He was very knowledgeable about the island and shared many interesting stories. We snorkeled at two different shipwrecks and saw turtles. Our guide also showed us an octopus! It was a wonderful way to see the island. He took pictures for us and allowed free time for us to explore some of the sights on our own. Well worth it. Highly recommend!

My Fault - Booked this excursion before taking a cruise and then forgot I had booked it. So, I booked another excursion (Diving) with friends I had met on board. Johnny, the Tour operator did a great job texted me on where he would be and what he looked like. I thought he was a Dive Shop representative.
After arriving at the Dive Shop, I learned Johnny was not associated with the shop. To his credit, Johnny sent a couple more texts asking my whereabouts. His last text advised me he could no longer wait for us. I wasn’t able to read those texts until I returned to the ship. In my opinion, Johnny acted professionally and went beyond the call of duty waiting for us to show up. For those reasons, I rate his services as excellent!

I didn't read those texts until I returned to the ship.
I think the operator acted professionally and went beyond the call of duty waiting for us to show up. For those reasons, I rate his services as excellent!

Memorable Day - Unlike most tour guides, Johnny does not just give you a standard spiel; instead, he answered our questions honestly and gave us an in-depth understanding of life in Antigua. Highly recommended and memorable experience.
Rare for Antigua we had a very rainy day which slowed traffic and cut short our itinerary ( also because it took much longer than expected to walk to the agreed upon meeting place due to my husbands pulled achilles tendon). Nevertheless, Johnny was extremely informative and managed to take our granddaughter for a snorkel in the rain at a secluded beach (Galleon) where she saw fish and a submerged boat, much to her delight! We had a quick walk through Nelsons Dockyard at English Harbour, very interesting and well worth the $15 entry fee.

Perfect Day! - Jonny was fantastic and I highly recommend this tour to learn from and support a local. He was quick to respond and on-time. He suggested meeting a little earlier to beat the peak time of tourists and he was right!! He took pictures for us, sent us videos of us snorkeling, and he knows exactly where the turtles are plus two octopus homes. We had a 13 and 11 year-old with us. We highly recommend him!
