PICK UP FROM THE AIRPORT - CITY TOUR

Velasco Astete - Representative of Chullos Travel Peru will be waiting for your arrival to the airport and your transfer to the hotel. Free morning to rest and acclimatize.

Cusco Cathedral - At 2:00pm the meeting point will be main square to start the tour, first place to visit Koricancha (Temple of the Sun), guided tour of 45 minutes and then go to the mobility. After 30 minutes in the mobility we will arrive to Sacsayhuaman (of the Quechua of Saqsay = place of satiated and Waman = Falcon, place where the Falcon is satiated”). Then visit Qenqo (Ritual Center on a rocky outcrop) place of much mysticism that will feel when entering the outcropping Rock. After 15 minutes of mobility we will arrive to PucaPucara (red fortress) Military construction. Last visit is Tambomachay known as the Inca Bath where it was made water cult. After our journey we will take the mobility for the return to Cusco, time approximate arrival at 7:00 pm.

SACRED VALLEY OF THE INKAS - AGUAS CALIENTES

Sacred Valley of the Incas - We will pass through the hotel at 8.00 am to start the tour of the sacred valley, after traveling 1 hour and a half in mobility we will arrive at the archaeological site of Pisaq in which we will have a guided tour of 1 hour Approx.
Traveling in the direction of the river willkamayu or sacred river we will reach Urubamba capital of the sacred valley where we will have a buffet lunch (typical Andean food). After that we will travel 30 minutes in the mobility until arriving at the town of Ollantaytambo to visit archaeological site where we will have a guided tour of 1 hour, highlighting the Temple of the Sun, The Intihuatana and the Princess Baths and Andean terraces. Then we have to go to the train station to board the train that will take us to Aguas Calientes where we will spend the night for the next day to visit Machupicchu (BY NIGHT THE GUIDE WILL PASS THROUGH THE HOTEL TO PROVIDE EVERYTHING DETAILS FOR YOUR VISIT TO MACHUPICCHU)

LOST CITY OF THE INKAS MACHUPICCHU

Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu - Very early we will go to take the bus that will take us to the lost city of the Incas (Machupicchu). Upon arrival at the citadel of Machu Picchu to enter we will show entry ticket, from this place will start the guided tour of 2 hours and 30 minutes where they will be explained the informative part of Machupicchu. Later you will have a free time. Then we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes to have our lunch. After our lunch we will have to go to the train station to board the train that will take us to Ollantaytambo. At the Ollantaytambo station we will be waiting for a representative of chullos travel Peru with a sign and their names which will take us to your mobility to return to Cusco and take it to the hotel.

RAINBOW MOUNTAIN

Vinicunca Mountain - At 4:00 a.m. We will pick up you from the hotels. We are heading towards the district of CUSIPATA. 6:30 a.m. Arrival at the CUSIPATA district where we will have our breakfast buffet for 30 minutes. Then continue our trip. 7:00 am. Departure from the restaurant towards the WASIPATA area. 8:00 am. Approximate arrival at the foot of the road and later start of the trek to the MOUNTAIN OF COLORS. (WINICUNCA). 1 hour and 30 minutes one way. (approximately) 40 minutes of visit in the mountain of colors. (WINICUNCA). 1 hour and 15 minutes (approximately) of return to where the mobility is. 12 pm. Arrival time approximately on foot of highway and once the group this complete we began our return towards the district of CUSIPATA. 1:00 pm Approximate arrival to our restaurant where we will have the buffet lunch, during 30 or 40 minutes. At 2:40 p.m. We will return to the city of Cusco. We will arrive to the city of Cusco at 5:30 pm. approximate.

HUMANTAY LAKE

Humantay Lake - At 4:00 am we will pick up you from the hotel with the mobility to travel to the town of Mollepata where we will have breakfast. Then we will continue our tour in Soraypampa where we will begin with 1 hour and 30 minutesâ walk to the Humantay Lagoon, which has an altitude of 4 250 m.a.s.l. during the trip, we will appreciate the fauna and flora of the place. Then we will descend to Soraypampa to take the mobility to Mollepata where we will enjoy a delicious lunch and then return to the city of Cusco Approx. 6:00 pm.

Q’ESWACHACA BRIDGE

Qeswachaka Peru Tours - The tour starts with the pick-up from your hotel at 7:00 am, after almost two hours of travel through the south of Cusco we will visit the four lagoons. After enjoying a quiet moment near the lagoons, we will visit the small Pabellones volcano that is located near the town of Yanaoca. Then we will arrive at the impressive Inca bridge. This hanging Inca bridge is made of vegetable fiber (Ichu) and it is located on the ApurÃmac River in the district of Quehue. The existence of this bridge dates from the Inca period. The renovation and maintenance is done once a year by the local people of the four communities that are around. Before beginning with the renewal of the bridge an offering is given as a sign of respect and gratitude to the Pachamama. We will have the opportunity to cross the Inca bridge from both sides. On the way back to Cusco we will make a last visit to the Inca colonial bridge of Checacupe where you can see the differences between both bridges. This interesting trip ends in the city of Cusco at approximately at 5 pm

Peru trip - The Chullos tour Peru is the way to go if you’re planning to visit Peru. Our Tour guide Amadeo and our driver Alamar are the asset for the tour company. Amadeo was knowledgeable on every sites we visited as he studied archeology in his earlier career and was able to explain with his published book with pictures. They were also very accommodating with our need regarding adjusting times if we wanted to depart later along with adjusting times at the visiting location. Amadeo has a great humor to keep our group engaged in the conversation and blended with our group like one of our family member. Our driver Alamar has great driving skills has the roads has up and downs with pavement or off roads. He was able to keep us safe for six days and also kept the van clean every day. The office was able to connect one of person and their spouse who became ill on the trip and were able to arrange private taxi to catch them up prior to us boarding the train to Aguas Caliente so they can join the group. This was done without us asking and that’s impressed me as they are top tour operators in Peru. Chullos tour genuinely cares for their clients to have great experience while in Peru. One suggestion I have is regarding the weather and what to expect at each location. I also would like to see more detail on itinerary regarding timing at each locations along with packing suggestions. Your colorful flyer has a lot of detail but I wanted little more detail on each day along with timing at each locations.

Private tour December 2023 - A private tour through Chullos Travel Peru was a great experience. Every detail from landing in Cusco to leaving Cusco , and everything in between were well planned, adjustments were made to accomodate our private tour when it was needed. Adjustments relating to time, weather, how someone in the goup is feeling. A perfect example is one person in our private group was not feeling well on the day of the Sacred Valley tour, but after the tour our group was to board a train in the afternoon for Aguas Calientas for the Machu Picchu tour the next day, not return to Cusco that night. The group left Cusco for Sacred valley, minus the one person and their spouse, but while the remainder of the group was touring Sacred Valley, Chullos Travel office, kept in touch with the person not feeling well and still at the hotel. Soon as the person was feeling good enough to travel, Chullos travel arranged a private taxi, for the couple to meet the rest of the group to board the train in Ollantaytambo, and we were all together again. Safety in a country you are not familiar with is paramount. There is a lot of travel via single lane roads and zig zag roads ascending and descending mountains on non-paved roads. The passenger van that was with our group the entire time was a clean and well maintained vehicle. More importantly Alamar, our driver was excellent. Thank you to him for keeping us comfortable and safe on our travels. Our guide who was with us for the entire trip was Amadeo. Not only does he have extensive knowledge of the sights visited, but he also has a wit about him that makes the tour fun. He gave us the facts as known today, compared them to other possible theories. Amadeo has a very Indepth knowledge of the Inca civilization. He gave our group options on adjusting departure time from the hotel ( as couple of days had a 4 AM departure), he was patient with the time it took on a tour, gave options of whomever wanted to hike or bus or horse ride, when that option was available on a tour. Essentially very patient. One minor thing that could be communicated better was the differences in climate and temperatures that can happen on top of a mountain. While we were prepared for the most part, since we had the same van the whole time, we could have kept some layered clothing in the van, and adjusted as needed depending on the climate at the moment. ( In all honesty we were told the first day at the airport that we will have the same vehicle, we just underestimated the cold and the wind on Rainbow Mountain, we as a group should have been better prepared, but there are vendors at most places to buy cheap gloves and hats if needed) Overall, a 5 star plus experience, with what Chullos Travel had arranged as a private tour, and non would be possible without Amadeo our guide and Alamar our driver. Pictures cannot describe the beauty of the scenery you will see and experience on this tour.
