Prescott National Forest - Ponderosa to Goldwater Lake
This route is one of our favorites. It has a good mix of get your heart pumping off-road thrills and some of the most picturesque views you’ll find. We keep this trip mostly in the tall pines with lots of steep ascents and descents and a few water crossings. We finish up with a 15 minute break at Goldwater lake for pictures and then return to the Square.

Worth the time and money - Such a beautiful time and wonderful experience. Going through Prescott national Forest was amazing and Tom is so fun to listen to and learn from not only about Preskett history but the animals that you can see in the woods. He stopped at convenient places so that we could take pictures of vistas and was such a pleasant person to talk with. I would highly recommend one of these adventures!

Sunset view - We loved the experience and the sunset view. We had good conversations with our driver. S’mores, soda and fire at the top. So beautiful

What an experience! - Had a great time. Tom is a great guide and story teller. He took us through and over some scary but beautiful terrain, but always kept us safe. Definitely recommend Angry Ape Tours.

Great experience! - Had an enjoyable time off roading with John. In additional to the exciting terrain and informative conversation, we had fun "gobbling" it up with some turkeys. Made for a great afternoon!

Angry Ape Tour expeience - Best tour and tour guide ever. My husband and I had a blast exploring Sierra Prieta and Copper Canyon. Tom made it fun with his quirky sense of humor and knowledge of Prescott history and forest. This is a must do!

The hummer we rode in was... - The hummer we rode in was impressive as it traveled over rough paths and through water. Our guide, Tom, was a great guy and made the ride extra interesting. Would recommend!

Birthday Experience - I was sent to Prescott for a solo birthday celebration. I contacted Tom and he was so wonderful on granting my birthday wish of a tour for my birthday even though I was solo. Tom was hilarious and full of information about the town and the surrounding forests.
Our tour ended at Upper Goldwater Lake and the view was breathtaking.
Thank you so very much Tom for one of the best birthday celebrations.

Thrilling! - Tom was the absolute best tour guide! Not only was he super informative about Prescott, his sense of humor made it impossible not to enjoy yourself. The driving was excellent the thrill was so much fun it’s truly an experience we look forward to doing again!
