A fabulous safari experience! - Had the best experience today. Went with our children aged 9, 11 and 14. The safari was our highlight. Had lots of monkeys on our car and the kids were spellbound by them! An ostrich walked past the car. A lion walked next to the car. Saw 2 rhinos having a fight, which they loved! Lol..Kids enjoyed a walk around seeing through meerkat and giraffes. Did safari drive twice and loved every minute of it! Highly recommend!

Nearly ruined - We went to Knowsley safari Park on valentines day. I'd not been since I was a kid. Really looked forward to it. So we went round in the car. All was good. Went into the monkey compound. Was laughing at the monkeys. I knew they would have a go at the car. Then a lady ranger drove up to use pointing to pull up on her other side. I couldn't do that as she had parked on that side. She then got out shouting that we had fed a monkey a banana. We didn't have any bananas. She said cause we had thrown em out of the window. We hadn't. We didn't bring any. We do have a video of the monkey eating a banana on top of a car in front. She wasn't listening to us though so after her rant she buggered off. We carried on round and just as we were leaving she stopped us again saying someone was hanging out the window. Well it certainly wasn't our car. I'd locked all the doors and windows on the drivers door. She hadn't seen anything . She was told a white car. And carried on ranting to us. Well this spoilt our trip. The worrying thing is they have rules and I agree with them but the people who were doing this didn't get told which is a danger. Please try and put cameras up to get the correct vehicle in future and not spoil your customers experience. The blonde ranger in the monkey compound needs telling. We went on to see the bird show and the sealions. Both of these were amazing and helped make the day nice again or you would of got a very disappointed score

Just don’t bother - Just don’t. Spend that extra hour and go to Chester Zoo. Honestly this was pathetic. The safari is laughable. Pay to sit a traffic jam with people who don’t have the brains they were born with. You’re supposed too be slowly but people will randomly stop and cause chaos. And DO NOT do the baboon area - do the car friendly route if you are unfortunate enough to visit. The baboon route takes you through with the same sackless bunch but with more intelligent baboons. The problem is they jump on the car and start damaging it but you can’t move because Brenda has decided to stay still and block you in meaning you can escape them. It’s not organised and is not enjoyable. The main area is tragic with a lake walk that’s closed, useless unstaffed eating areas. And animals? Hardly a safari. Do Chester

They could do so much more - After watching the TV series I was expecting alot more animals on the drive around. There's loads of massive grass areas with no animals in and if it wasn't for the close encounter with the lions it would have been a waste of time. With the amount of land they have at Knowsley they could accommodate much more wildlife. If I see another deer of some description it will be too soon. Where are the endangered species

Very boring place! - Very disappointing place, the safari drive was really boring as it’s mostly deer you see. Had to spend ages in the lion enclosure looking at nothing as the people in front sat for ages with no thought for anyone else looking at the lions, There should be someone moving people on when it’s busy! Seems run down, dirty toilets and most of the animals were no where to be seen. Definitely wouldn’t visit again.

Bad experience with purchasing the admission tickets. - I am disgusted at the way Trip Advisor charged me £50 for 2 adult tickets when in fact the real price was £35. This is a real reap off. Next time I will always buy tickets from the Knowsley Safari Park website and not from Trip Advisor.
