ONLY DO THE BABBOONS IF YOU HAVE A BANGER, NOT A NICE CAR. - Been here previously but always took the Baboon safe route, this time my partner insisted on driving through, not even 20 seconds in the car was covered with the troop and they made short work of ripping off parts of the car 🤣 It's a one-time experience I would recommend

Brilliant experience! - I brought my almost 2 year old daughter to the safari park a few weeks back and unfortunately didn’t check the weather beforehand, unfortunately it was raining by the time we arrived and so we didn’t see many animals on the safari drive. I emailed customer services to advise of this and they offered me a free return visit!! We made that return visit today and the weather was lovely we saw all of the animals and had such an amazing day! We also booked for 10:30am and didn’t arrive until 11:30am we were told this was absolutely fine and got to enjoy our day! Will be returning throughout the year!

Nearly ruined - We went to Knowsley safari Park on valentines day. I'd not been since I was a kid. Really looked forward to it. So we went round in the car. All was good. Went into the monkey compound. Was laughing at the monkeys. I knew they would have a go at the car. Then a lady ranger drove up to use pointing to pull up on her other side. I couldn't do that as she had parked on that side. She then got out shouting that we had fed a monkey a banana. We didn't have any bananas. She said cause we had thrown em out of the window. We hadn't. We didn't bring any. We do have a video of the monkey eating a banana on top of a car in front. She wasn't listening to us though so after her rant she buggered off. We carried on round and just as we were leaving she stopped us again saying someone was hanging out the window. Well it certainly wasn't our car. I'd locked all the doors and windows on the drivers door. She hadn't seen anything . She was told a white car. And carried on ranting to us. Well this spoilt our trip. The worrying thing is they have rules and I agree with them but the people who were doing this didn't get told which is a danger. Please try and put cameras up to get the correct vehicle in future and not spoil your customers experience. The blonde ranger in the monkey compound needs telling. We went on to see the bird show and the sealions. Both of these were amazing and helped make the day nice again or you would of got a very disappointed score

Disappointing & not worth it - Booked a Meerkat experience as a special 60th birthday present for my Mum. We were left standing in the cold for 30 minutes despite them being aware we were waiting. Then I had to find someone to ask, we then waited another 10 minutes for someone to come. Disappointing start. Ben, our host, was very friendly and engaging but that’s probably the only positive. The experience itself was nice but felt a little rushed and almost like we were an inconvenience. It was also massively ruined by onlookers, especially a rude lady (which is not the parks fault but when you’ve paid a lot for an experience, it’s a shame it can be easily ruined by others). We were not given our 10% off the gift shop. We then went on the safari drive and it was basically just deer. Again, understandably the animals won’t always “play ball” but it’s disappointing to just drive around a track viewing various forms of deer. We won’t be returning to Knowsley in the foreseeable and I wouldn’t recommend the experiences. It was expensive and ultimately was a real let down for us, especially as it was a special gift.

Deer and Pheasant heaven! - I treated my mom to a day here having seen it on the telly recently. We love visiting zoos and safaris and by far this is probably one of the worst we’ve been too. We traveled up from the Midlands and wished we had gone to our local safari! The safari was full of different types of deer and pheasant! We did get to see 4 lions close up. We did the whole safari in 25 minutes. Nothing was posted as to what area you were going too/through. You got to electric gates and they were just open or half open. So we decided to prologue the day by doing the walking safari. 2 Tigers which looked very distressed and bored as they were on their own and their cages were mud pits. There was some good birds of prey, but again very small cages for the size of birds. We did the nature trail round the lake, only to get to the end and find the gate locked so had to go back! Given Chester zoo isn’t far and the standard of zoos and safaris these days sorry but this needs real overhaul and work. If you’re going to take peoples money then animals should be out.

Terrible experience - Took my misses and kids as we have been to West Midlands safari park and it was an amazing day out but this has to be the worst safari around surely we saw 2 zebras enclosed 3 rhinos that had there backs to us 5 lions that looked doped up and a million deer it was terrible the only good bit was the baboons even though they wrecked the car but didn’t care after coming out the drive through which took ages seen more empty space than animals it was pathetic in West Midlands safari zebra giraffes rhinos and other wildlife roam freely and can come near your vehicle for a feed but honestly 1/10 only because of the baboons the park was rubbish too rides were closed and not much there would never visit again need to up your game Knowsley serious go visit West Midlands and learn something about a proper safari

Just don’t bother - Just don’t. Spend that extra hour and go to Chester Zoo. Honestly this was pathetic. The safari is laughable. Pay to sit a traffic jam with people who don’t have the brains they were born with. You’re supposed too be slowly but people will randomly stop and cause chaos. And DO NOT do the baboon area - do the car friendly route if you are unfortunate enough to visit. The baboon route takes you through with the same sackless bunch but with more intelligent baboons. The problem is they jump on the car and start damaging it but you can’t move because Brenda has decided to stay still and block you in meaning you can escape them. It’s not organised and is not enjoyable. The main area is tragic with a lake walk that’s closed, useless unstaffed eating areas. And animals? Hardly a safari. Do Chester

They could do so much more - After watching the TV series I was expecting alot more animals on the drive around. There's loads of massive grass areas with no animals in and if it wasn't for the close encounter with the lions it would have been a waste of time. With the amount of land they have at Knowsley they could accommodate much more wildlife. If I see another deer of some description it will be too soon. Where are the endangered species
