What’s more enjoyable than dashing from one UNESCO site to another? Karlštejn Castle stands as one of the most popular and frequently visited medieval fortresses in Central Europe.
We kick off in the outskirts of Prague and embark on a trail that weaves us through the rustic landscape of Central Bohemia. This not only offers a glimpse of Prague but also lets you soak in the tranquility of the countryside. The run trails through woods and grasslands, quaint towns and ultimately we find ourselves at the castle along with the settlement below it. For a quick pick-me-up, there’s an opportunity to taste some renowned Czech beer.
This jogging journey is slightly challenging as it covers 17km riddled with hillocks, and you’ll experience every running terrain imaginable.
Our return journey will be aboard a local train (a mere 25 mins ride), offering you an authentic Czech experience.
