In this class you will discover the unique flavor of local cooking while learning about traditional ways of life and also useful tricks for general cooking. As part of this class, you will visit a local market, choose our local ingredients and learn to cook traditional Czech menu.

We'll meet in Holešovice Food market (Pražská tržnice/ Holešovická trance). Easyest way is use Metro! Go to Vltavská station on Red line - C, then it's just one station by Tram no. 1, 12, 14 or 25. Jump out, cross on the other side and go through the main entrance straight ahead to the Hall 22.

The Kitten Stole My Goulash - Chef Ondrej was a perfect Host and an exceptional technical instructor for his class of six students. We started at the oldest market in town to pick fresh ingredients. The beef shank was so tender in the goulash we made, the cabbage soup was hearty and tasty with paprika sausage and desert was plum wrapped in dumpling dough. Perfect way to end the meal. Cassi was his adorable and ferocious kitten that made the afternoon all the more enjoyable. Wine flowed and laughter echoed throughout his apartment flat. What an incredible way to spend the day with a really wonderful chef in a superb town. You will love this adventure!

A wonderful Experience - Chef Ondrej is amazing, knowledgeable about food and takes the time to explain his cooking techniques as well as the ingredients he used during our class. We met at the Holešovickà Tržnice and the chef spent some time taking us around several of the market stalls to stock up on ingredients. He is patient and has a great sense of humor. I highly recommend this class if you’re interested in learning (and eating!) some wonderful Czech cuisine. Oh! Cassi was adorable btw!

Truly unique and amazing - The experience was amazing all around. Great market tour, true magic in the kitchen and delicious dinner that we cooked with Ondrej’s guidance. Cooking in his kitchen made it very special. We felt more like guests, less like tourists. PS we were so busy eating our meals, that I don’t have any photos of deserts. Take it as it was out of this world delicious! We were too busy devouring it. No time to think to snap a photo.

This is the most... - This is the most memorable experience my partner and I are taking away from Prague. Ondrej showed us around a local market, he curated a menu for us while accommodating dietary restrictions, and then proceeded to host us in his charming flat. Then there’s the actual cooking experience. I’ve finally properly learned how to hold a knife, to dice an onion, julienne a pepper, and so on. Ondrej made us feel so comfortable in his place and offered beer, wine, water, etc. and bites throughout the day. Truly such an incredible experience. Thank you Ondrej!

Great experience and a must do. - Had the chance to make a meal with a chef. The food was incredible. We are both enjoy cooking but still learned alot from the expirience. Definitely a Greta activity to do while in Prague.

Wonderful cooking experience - Chef Ondrej is an amazing and talented instructor. You can tell he is passionate about his craft and enjoys sharing his knowledge with others. He worked with everyone in our group and taught us how to improve our knife skills, how to properly prepare certain vegetables, let us smell and taste all of the ingredients we were using, and we even learned how to properly poach an egg! Learning how to prepare a traditional Czech meal was both informative and fun - not to mention delicious! The afternoon had a few unforeseen challenges, but Chef Ondrej worked through them well and provided a wonderful experience. His thoughtfulness and hospitality made this event truly memorable.

Phenomenal experience - Absolute highlight of my trip to Prague. My friend and I did a market trip and cooking class. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was the favourite day of my trip and the best food we ate. Great conversation, food, and it was interesting getting to visit the market and learn more about Czech food. If you’re considering booking, do it!

AWESOME - Best experience I’ve had in Prague so far - Chef Ondrej is not only an awesome cook but an awesome teacher as well and has mastered the act of making his guests feel comfortable and at home. My friend and I definitely learned some tips that I will take with me into every kitchen I step into in the future and I highly recommend this experience for anyone who may be interested!!

Fun in the kitchen with Ched Ondrej - Ondrej was very friendly and spoke great English and is truly a master chef. He is an enthusiastic young guy (especially when it comes to cooking) and has a grasp of many different types of cooking techniques. Going to the market with him was fun and cooking in his lovely apartment with a great kitchen was such a wonderful way to enjoy the afternoon. He actually taught techniques of cooking and knife skills. The meal was delicious!!! He gives you cook book with the recipes He is also a cooking chef on TicTok. I would highly recommend this activity as a break from touring!
