Highlights
  • Obecní Dům - We’ll meet in the center for your convenience but don’t worry, we won’t stay here for long! Your guide will wait for you in front of the main entrance to the Municipal House, an Art-Nouveau building that houses the famous Smetana Concert Hall as well as a number of wonderful restaurants and wine bars.
  • Masaryčka - Our first stop, a brand new restaurant with a modern take on Czech cuisine.
  • Karlínské náměstí - This square is also a park and it’s the perfect place for locals to hang out in the summer. We’ll check out the great view and than head for food - that’s why we are here in the first place!
  • Invalidovna - You thought Les Invalides, or Invalidovna as we call it in Czech was just in Paris, right? Let us show you this architectural gem and how a certain gentleman’s idea came to life here. Oh and have we mentioned we’re going to it nearby? But you were expecting as much by now, weren’t you?
  • Kasarna Karlin - Karlin Baracks are a true hidden gem in this district, that’s no cliché at all in this. We simply cannot avoid stopping here and showing this stunning courtyard with an amazing cafe/pub (they serve both delish coffee and amazing beer here) right in the center. Let’s try it out, shall we?

Highly Recommend The Food Tour! - My husband and I went on a private modern cuisine food tour while visiting Prague and it was a highlight of our trip. We greatly enjoyed all of the food, the history, the locations we were taken and especially the tour guide - Misa.

Excellent Food Tour - We were in Prague for a week and took several tours, but our favorite was definitely this one. The main reason was the food - I love taking food tours when we travel and this one was especially well curated. Delicious food, great drinks and above all fun company of a wonderful local guide who knew exactly what to do order and where and provided us with tons of amazing stories that explained well what we ate and why. Highly recommended!

Delicious food with good company - We loved our tour with Michaela!! She was very warm and knowledgeable! My wife and I went on this tour with my parents and we all had a splendid time. The food was scrumptious and the locations felt very local and special. Michaela took all of our questions and requests in stride. We would 100% go on another tour with her the next time we are in town!

Excellent value. - Outstanding tour in every way. Misa (Misha) is professional, personable, fun, but most importantly KNOWLEDGEABLE about the local food. She nailed it describing every dish and getting to know our group of 11 people and who might really enjoy what. You will love this tour! More food than expected for the price. Come hungry leave…STUFFED! Misa also made follow up recommendations on restaurants for the rest of our stay which we tried and loved just as much.

A wonderful walk on the Prague locals side to try different restaurants, food dishes & beers - Tryied several local food dishes at five different local restaurants (Beef broth with dumpliing, pulled pork with roasted vegetables, chicken demi sauce, leaf salad, fermented potatoe pancakes, baked vegetable, potatoes in ash and colacek) and several beers (pilsner urquell, Mistni craft beer, Dalesicka 11 beer, fermented pear limonade and coffee). It was a special way to spend an afternoon.
