Highly recommended experience! - Our guide from “Get Your Guide Prague” was fantastic. She did a brilliant job of showing us how to navigate around the Jewish Quarter and gave some amazing context on this specific community. It was perfect for people like us who prefer to navigate ourselves around the sites at our own pace and based on what we find most interesting. All tickets were included and allowed us to skip the line in front of giant tour groups. There was also so much information on the walls at every stop so it’s very easy to learn about the history without having a dedicated guide.

Great experience with just enough information and extra time to explore on your own. - Great experience with just enough information and extra time to explore on your own. The guide walked us around the Jewish area and gave us information on each temple and what exhibitions to expect in each and other relevant information which was super helpful for us. We received a map of the area and some suggested dining options. We ended up eating at the 5th delicatessen and it was yummy.

Recommended alternative to the guided hike - Highly recommended if you want to get some information about the Jewish quarter and also explore it on your own and at your own pace. I had booked a German introduction at 9.40 a.m., but I got there earlier. Big praise to Zora, the German-speaking guide. She was already there when I arrived and since I was the only one who had booked a German tour, she took the time to explain everything to me in detail, show me the location of the synagogues, answer my questions, etc. After the detailed introduction by Zora, I then explored the Jewish quarter on my own. In my opinion, a visit to the Jewish quarter is absolutely recommended, as you get an insight into the history of the Jewish community in Bohemia and Moravia up to the present day, but also into burial customs. A visit to the Jewish cemetery is a must! The entrance ticket is valid for several days, i.e. you don't necessarily have to see everything in one day. The order is somewhat random, except for the Pinkas Synagogue and the Jewish Cemetery, as the entrance and exit are at different points. However, I would recommend following the order given, as the exhibitions in the individual synagogues build on one another thematically and are coordinated. Anyone who visits the Old-New Synagogue also receives a 50 CKr discount on their visit to the Jerusalem Synagogue, which is not included in the package.

Fantastic balance between guide tour and self discovery! - I thoroughly enjoyed this experience! If you would like to have a guided tour, but also want time to explore on your own, then this is perfect for you! Our guide, Martin, met us at the ticket office and walked around the old town square and the Jewish Quarter with us. He explained the history of the Jewish Quarter and explained exactly where each attraction is and why it is important. We were then left to our own devices, with our ticket to gain entry into the attractions. This was great because Martin had told us a lot of information and we were very well informed on the area, but were able to stop and start our walk whenever we wanted. I thoroughly enjoyed the morning.

Watch out for subversive sales technique - Some great history here. And beautiful buildings and stories of the Jewish history in Prague. At 500 CZK it was at the top of what it’s valued, but be wary as the canny ticket desk subversively sells you the audio guide to, taking it to 680 CZK. It’s by no means essential to have this, but is clearly a quick buck for the business.
