Additional Information

Engage with the locals and gain a deeper insight into the Czech culture. Embark on a mini-adventure, sampling flavors you didn’t think existed. Test your limits. Make new acquaintances. This is a low-key approach to uncovering a new city while relaxing on an afternoon, exploring landmarks, discovering quaint, hidden spots, interacting with locals, and learning about the city and its culinary world. One thing is certain: you won’t require any additional food for the rest of the day.

So what’s the plan?

Either I or another passionate, food-devoted tour guide will escort you and the rest of the group on a three-hour culinary exploration of the city. We will stroll and sample some of the food on the spot and enjoy other treats as we move. You have the option to purchase drinks at the restaurants we visit (drinks are not part of the package!). Over the course of the tour, you’ll learn some interesting details about Prague and the history of its food, but don’t anticipate a three-hour history lecture from us. We converse, enjoy ourselves, eat, and drink. Can’t wait to dine with you!

Highly recommend — super worth it! - This was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Prague! Our guide Jan was so knowledgeable and fun to talk to. Throughout the tour, he not only taught us about the food that we were eating, but also some history and culture as well. This is one of the least expensive food tours that I’ve done in Europe, and I feel that I got more than my money’s worth. We went to four places and had a lot of really lovely food. Definitely come hungry! I loved some of the places so much that I actually went back to two of them later on in my trip. Highly recommend this tour. Thanks Jan!

A must if you want to have an authentic taste of Prague - Wonderful from beginning to end. Our guide was Zina. There were 11 on our tour. We started with sweet or savoury Prague dumplings. They are not like dumplings in the UK. They are as big as a tennis ball and filled. I had strawberry. Delicious but one was enough. Then we had a traditional open sandwich like an open baguette. Gorgeous and cold and fresh. I had potato salad with ham and cheese. Next was a cake shop. We had what was a cream filled choux bun and another chocolate dessert filled with egg nog. Next we tried marinated soft cheese on bread. Very strong cheese. Finally was a traditional dumpling dish again but this time the dumpling were more flat and soaked in a warm savoury sauce, served with braised beef and a cream and cranberry topping. Sounds odd but it was extremely tasty. We got one free drink on the tour but you could buy more. We walked and went on the metro. We visited 4 places. We found out lots of history about Prague and we're given hints and tips of where to go. It was 3 and a half hours. Do not eat before as you do eat a lot. We were very full indeed. Great tour. Highly recommended.

Great tour! - Fabulous food tour with a really good range of czech cuisine! Highly recommend this tour if you're keen to try things that are otherwise difficult to access as a non-czech speaker. Everything was interesting and delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxed.

You won’t be hungry after - Jan was our tour guide. Very detailed information about foods. Everything was very tasty. And we were all full by the end . Offered extra dumpling bread and sauce if we wanted . But we couldn’t fit in another mouthful. We asked for extras , our guide was happy to accommodate. Most of our group were happy with the amount of walking , personally I would have liked more, to work up an appetite between foods. Only thing I have thought I would change, is to have the desert and coffee at the end

Nice way to spend an afternoon - Jaz was a friendly tour guide and we had a nice variety of different foods. Would have been nice to learn a little bit more about Czech history and the background of the dishes though.

A disappointing food tasting tour - The tasting followed no logical order: first there was a sweet, then an appetizer, then another sweet and finally the main course. The first two places where we ate weren't particularly nice and the choice thereof seemed a bit random. Our guide, Zina, was pleasant but she did not share much information with us nor engage too much with us. Overall, rather disappointing.
