Rome to Pompeii, Positano and Amalfi Coast - What a wonderful experience we had with Welcome Italy tours with Jazzy as our most excellent guide! Our driver was also excellent. On the drive to Pompeii, Jazzy provided a history of each region as we passed, pointing out key interests. Once we reached Pompeii, we were handed off to Francesco, whose knowledge of Pompeii and the area are unmatched, with the exception of perhaps his mother, who has been an archeologist in Pompeii for 40 yrs. I guess that is why he knows everything. Our next stop was Positano down the Amalfi coast where we ventured through the narrow streets and had a wonderful lunch on the beach. We stopped in a small sandal shop and watched the skilled artisan make us several pairs of sandals, which he and his family have been doing for 3 generations in the same spot. Our next stop was Sorento for several phots ops. The ride back to Rome was long, but pleasant while Jazzy provided more knowledge and wit. All in all it was a long and wonderful day and we would recommend this tour to anyone that has a full day to spare.

Even better than we expected! Fabio is fabulous! - I'm not sure why there have been negative reviews. This was exactly as described - transportation from our hotel to Pompeii, (we paid for our own tickets for a guided tour), then to Amalfi coast (we were able to get out for photos), and then two hours in Positano. What made it better was Fabio, our driver. He was very personable and accommodating. It was a long day in the car (12 hours), but there's no way to experience all of that from Rome any faster. My family of four plus a couple. It was a great day.

Great family trip history lesson for the kids - Went there on a day tour from Rome. I love Roman history and enjoyed this trip a lot. Get a local guide at Pompeii - it’s worth the money! Bring lots of water and sun protection. Positano is beautiful but crowded with tourists. The trip from Rome is long - set your expectations accordingly.

Amalfi coast tour: Pompeii - The tour of Pompeii was very nice, a little too long in the heat. The Positano was our main destination. That was fabulous more time there would be better. I wanted a tour just to Positano in small group but there was not a choice to just do that. Our “ small tour” worked out well for us because the other 5 people in tge tour group never showed up so my husband and I had a “ private” tour at a small group price! Our driver Guilio was very nice, hit the highlights along the coast ride, pointing things out and stopping twice for pictures along the coastal views( would have liked a few more quick picture stops). The van we toured in was clean but inside was dated, only one slider door on van. and if other 5 people showed it would have been way too uncomfortable and tight. I think a mini bus or luxury small coach bus like we had on wine tour would be a better choice for this long day trip.

Seeing Pompeii in a small-group a private tour is intimate and comfortable. It is highly recommended . Glad we did it! - Booked through Get your Guide, the Welcome Italy company gave is a great full day experience. Our guide ALBA and driver ARTOUR picked us up on time and the minivan was spacious and comfortable. We only had another couple with us so the group was nice and small. Alba gave a bit of info as we travelled to Pompeii and was very attentive to making sure we are all comfortable at all times. We stopped for coffee on the way there and back which was a nice break and there were lots of options to buy as snacks if needed. At Pompeii we did not spend time in queues. Our guide was very informative and had a lovely sense of humor. It was amazing to "feel" the city as it was in those days and to see how advanced the Romans were back then already. Walking through the streets made you realize how it must have been when the volcano erupted and destroyed everything in it's path. We are glad we visited the site. After Pompeii we drove to Amalfi to get a taste of the picturesque coastline. We stopped at a local stall to buy some lemons and nectarines from the area and it was delicious. We also stopped for lunch next to the water for some traditional food, with a view of course. If you get carsick please take with your tablets for motion sickness, especially on the coast. We have to comment on Artour being such a gentleman at all times, opening doors, holding bags, etc. It is also great to be able to leave your bags and jackets in the car where needed.

What a mess - Well I woke thinking I was going to Pisa and Florence and after we picked up the four other people in the group who thought they were going to amalfi we were told there was a mix up and we could go to amalfi or be left on the spot and figure it out for ourselves.

This company is a fraud. ... - This company is a fraud. I paid for "with guide" option but they told me that I did not and had to pay for guide at venue. I asked for refund for the differene but they will not refund. Moreover, the phone number they provide does not work, and their website is broken. The driver is a nice person but does not speak English.
