Worth the trip - The guide, Lucia, was knowledgeable and helpful, she really knew her stuff. The bus driver was also excellent as it is definitely a tough drive along the Amalfi coast.

Great guide! - Great trip! Lucia did a fantastic job guiding us through some of the highlights of Pompeii and gave us plenty of time to walk up Vesuvius. Was on the trip solo and seated with another small group at lunch that were very friendly and made for an enjoyable experience

Tour may seem long but worth the time! - Lucia our tour guide was very good! She always made sure to give breaks during the long ng day and she was very efficient as well. She was very knowledgeable, engaging, fun, and and made the whole trip well worth it! Learning about how cameos were made and the historical significance of the craft was really interesting. Then we climbed all the way up Mt. Vesuvius...we got an hour an a half to do it too. Just before we entered the Pompeii archeological village, we got to eat at a restaurant that catered to tour groups. Very reasonably priced. The driver was also terrific. He knew how to maneuver the Amalfi Coast roads like a pro in our big bus. I would recommend this trip to anyone.

Interesting & informative - Going inside the restored buildings and imagining the life the community had before it was buried as well as peering into the crater of the volcano

Pompeii and mt Vesuvius - The guide Lucia did a wonderful job describing the history of Pompeii and walking us through important landmarks such as the gladiators gym, the main town square, and main meat and fish market as well as bakery shop. She also showed us what the homes of Pompeii looked like by walking us through a home owned by two brothers in Pompeii. The hike to gran cono was amazing and view was beautiful!!!!!

Great! - The tour was great! Our tour guide and bus driver were amazing! We only spent two hours in Pompeii, so in hindsight, I would have just done a Pompeii tour to get more out of it. Otherwise - highly reccommend!

Well planned day trip - The trip was well organized and the guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The bus trip is scary through the mountains, but the driver was great. We had just enough time in both places. We knew lunch was not included but thought we would be on our own at one of the spots around Pompeii. The issue was that for lunch we were driven to a large restaurant with other tour groups where we were given 5 mediocre options for 17e each. The staff was disinterested at best. They acted like the price was a bargain, but we would have preferred a sandwich or shared a few pizzas. If the lunch is not optional, add it to the cost of the trip. We would have also liked to have had the option to stop in the gift shop as one of us collects art books. The stop at the coral factory was interesting.

Long day but worth it! - This trip takes essentially a whole day but was a worthwhile experience if staying on the Amalfi Coast! Our guide was very knowledgeable about Pompeii and Italian history in general. She used the long driving time to talk us through the context for what we would see. At Pompeii, we moved quickly enough to cover a good portion of the city while still allowing time to absorb and take pictures. The Vesuvius hike was challenging but beautiful - we got very lucky, since 5 minutes after we reached the crater, the clouds were too thick to see anything at all or take more pictures. Our bus driver was also fantastic, navigating the curvy roads with incredible speed. Lunch was okay. There were 3 options and it would have been nice to get more to choose from. Additionally, everything came out stone cold. My main recommendation for the tour would be to switch the order: hike Vesuvius first, then lunch, then Pompeii. This would allow more restaurant options for lunch and also would have felt much better for our stomachs not to go on a hike right after eating a big meal.

Day trip to Pompeii & Vesuvius (ended up being a brilliant day after a challenging start!) - The tour of Pompeii and Vesuvius was, on the most part, absolutely amazing. Our translator was delightful, as was our main bus driver. We felt like we had exactly the right amount of information to be able to learn, explore and enjoy ourselves. Thank you to the team. The only thing that didn't go well was our pick up. Despite having been assured that my elderly mother could be collected right outside our accommodation in Positano, nobody arrived to collect us. After several phone calls, we were told we had to get immediately to the other side of Positano. It was extremely stressful and I felt very annoyed having specifically spoken to the travel operator in advance and been told they would come to us! We then had to rush in the rain at pace, with my poor mother, and when we finally managed to find the driver he drove along the Amalfi Coast at the speed of an F1 racer. This was a really unfortunate start to our day, which was fortunately made up for by the delightful organisers on the other coach. I think my mother has only just recovered!
