Absolutely the best tour ever! - Above and beyond all expectations. So glad we booked this tour. We thought we were just getting a tour of the island- but this was so much more. Auggie asked about our interests and planned the route to show us as many highlights as possible during our time. He was an excellent tour guide as he drove. He loves Madeira and taught us so much about the island and the people. Madeira is absolutely beautiful. At every scenic and interesting point, he would show us the best views and then he used my camera to take pictures of my husband and I at each point- being sure to direct us to the most impressive backdrops. Auggie is extremely knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend this company to anyone visiting Madeira. It is truly a luxury tour experience.

Great experience and great value. - Great experience. Our driver Aggie was friendly, informative and professional. Really good value, in the time we had we saw a lot on this tour with great views where we could stop as often as we wanted. The trip was just long enough for us and well worth the money and the stop for a genuine freshly made poncha was brilliant.

Private Tour - Having a private tour we were able to miss the crowds and queues. Our driver Aggi was brilliant, so knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble

Wonderful Madeira Experience - We truly had an amazing time with this private tour with Ag. He was very knowledgeable of Madeira, very polite and accommodating. We even had a chance to try the drink poncha! Highly recommended this private tour!

Our tour guide was... - Our tour guide was amazing. He made every effort to point out all of the beautiful sights Madeira has to offer. Could not have been better!

Great tour, great guide! - Aggie is great! He has a lot of passion for this island and carried it through the entire tour. We booked last minute due to the constantly changing itenerary of our ship. However, Aggie picked up on the booking immediately and even sent photos of our cruise ship coming into the harbor. Unlike other tour guides who just dropped us off to wander on our own, Aggie came along with us to describe what we were seeing. We also have this hobby called geocaching which we explained to him and he jumped right in with us on the searches. He was really good at it, too. He was constantly aware of our needs and likes and was right on with the great viewpoints and visit to Nun’s Valley. If I ever go back to Madeira I will definitely book with Aggie to see more of that fantastic island.

Beware - I booked a tour for 1/2 day which stated 3-4 hours starting at 8:30 am. The driver changed the pickup point to 9 am the day of and then was late. When we finally got in the van, they offered us 2 hours more which I said no to. As the tour progressed, I stated that we were hungry and would like to return to our pickup spot (Funchal) for lunch where we had a reservation for lunch. As we were headed back we kept stopping at more places. Finally we returned back 2 hours later and were told that they had given us 2 extra hours (again we had said no at the beginning when we were asked). We got out of the van and the driver followed us to our hotel and again stated that he had given us 2 extra hours and he was looking for additional payment. At no time did we agree to extra time nor did he or the female travel coordinator tell us that it was additional time or indicate that we would owe them more money. Additionally, they kept suggesting we stop for lunch and we said no we were going to lunch back in Funchal. The fact that the driver parked and followed us back to our hotel to tell us we owed him more money is so unlike any other Viator experience we have ever had. It was very unsettling.
