Upon pick-up from the pier, anticipate a spell of half a day filled with exploration. Choose one from the three available tour options, all leading to unique destinations: Sete Cidades, Furnas, or Lagoa do Fogo.

- At time of booking, Cruise ship passengers must provide the following information at time of booking: ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and re-boarding time

Best Day Ever! - We had a basically private tour with Margareda, and she was phenomenal! It was the best excursion of our 25 day cruise. She took us of the beaten path to explore the micro climates of Ponta Delgada. She was passionate about all the Azores has to offer. I highly recommend booking with T4W tours. It was the absolute best day! Afterwards, she dropped us off in the city center to enjoy an authentic Portuguese lunch.

Beautiful, scenic and historical! - The trip was incredible! Miguel was the best tour guide. He was very knowledgeable. We had a great morning touring the Sete Cidades as well as some great spots to and from there. Miguel was very friendly and pleasant making our trip extremely enjoyable. Thanks Miguel

Awesome tour! - We LOVED this half day private tour with Mariano! Pickup was smooth from the cruise terminal and we got to personalize our day based on our interests and the weather. Mariano is so knowledgeable about not only the history but also all the natural history of the island too. Learning about the different plants and types of landscaping was fascinating. Having the private 4WD vehicle is key because you can go off the beaten track into areas that have amazing views a large bus could never get to. I was worried the “off roading” was going to be too rough or bumpy but it wasn’t too bad! We had a great time and I would recommend this if you have a day in port here! Thank you again Mariano!!!

Wonderful experience - trip of a lifetime. - Absolutely the best shore excursion. Cruise excursions were out of the question as we don't like being driven around in massive coaches. On the other hand, our very capable 4x4 driver, Philip, spoke perfect English, and as the cloud cover was bad on our selected trip he persuaded us to choose the west of the island instead. We were so glad he did. He took us to some amazing viewpoints and he was full of very interesting information about his homeland. He and his vehicle took us to places that a coach could NEVER have accessed. I can thoroughly recommend T4W for the sightseeing *trip of a lifetime*

great trip - We had a full day whale watching trip cancelled so wanted to do something else and booked this trip last minute to get out and see some sights of the island. This we did! even though it was only the afternoon our brilliant driver/guide Filipe, took us to some amazing view points that we wouldn't have been taken to on a pre booked commercial trip. Filipe was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our afternoon and got some amazing pictures.

Viator is the best! - Our scheduled shore excursion did not happen because high winds on 10/29/19 prevented our cruise ship from docking at Ponta Degada. A very big disappointment for us as we were looking forward to seeing the beautiful scenery we have been reading about. The local tour company responded promptly to my email and provided helpful information so that I could initiate a refund request. Contact with Viator at the end of our cruise resulted in an immediate refund of the cost of the planned excursion. Viator's customer service is outstanding! They went above and beyond what I was expecting and my short telephone contact with them resulted in one happy customer. Can't wait to travel again so I can book excursions with them.

Sete Cidades- a hidden gem! - We were booked in to go to the Fire Lake but our guide Vera advised that it was really too cloudy and we wouldn’t see anything. We took her advice and left the tour in her hands. It was absolutely brilliant! Going off road in a 4WD we got to see so much more than the bigger vehicles could access. Great day, great guide, I would highly recommend this tour. Thanks Vera.

Exceptional - Our cruise ship did not offer any suitable Excursion for people with mobility issues.
Travel agent found this tour, through Excite Holidays.
We were picked up from the dock and the tour as it turned out was private just for my husband and I in a Landcruise 4X4.
Our tour guide Dolf was exceptional and very knowledgeable, took us to places where the big tour buses couldn't go. He even went out of his way to take me to a souvenir shop at the end of the tour. I would book directly with them T4W and not go through a 2nd or 3rd party.. Tha k you Dolf and Wendy.

Awesome views and experience - Ruben greeted us at the assigned meeting location and time. This was a wonderful excursion that took us to places only a 4x4 could reach and an excursion from the ship could not duplicate. Ruben was a knowledgeable, personable and enthusiastic guide and he was very familiar with the island's history and culture. Don't forget your camera because the views and photo opportunities were incredible! We will be returning to the Azores in May 2020 on another cruise and will be looking to book another excursion with Ruben then.
