Dão was established as Portugal’s first demarcated table wine region in 1908. The journey begins with a visit to a cheese producer, where participants will have the opportunity to taste and observe the creation process of the renowned Serra da Estrela Cheese.

Dão was established as Portugal’s first demarcated table wine region in 1908. The journey begins with a visit to a cheese producer, where participants will have the opportunity to taste and observe the creation process of the renowned Serra da Estrela Cheese.
The adventure continues with an exploration of the “Novo Dão” wines. Visitors will tour a wine estate that has been in the same family for at least four generations. Here, wines are crafted with minimal human intervention, allowing the natural qualities of the grapes to shine. A guided tour of the property and a tasting of distinctive DOC Dão wines are included.
A delightful lunch will be served at the winery’s historic family-owned house, featuring a three-course regional meal.
Following lunch, the tour will proceed to additional wineries in the region, celebrated for their blend of traditional knowledge and innovative techniques in producing outstanding DOC Dão table wines.
