The Douro Valley is renowned, being the earliest Classified Region in the world (since 1756) and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001. This is the birthplace of Port Wine, which continues to be highly favored, although the Douro DOC Reds and Whites are also noteworthy.
On the contrary, the Vinho Verde Region, known for its unique wine, has only recently gained popularity. The first sip of this wine reveals a surprising and delightful combination of crisp acidity, floral aroma, and fruitier flavor. This dynamic duo is a must-see!
