From Porto, our journey begins, venturing towards the Douro Valley in a luxurious Mercedes Van. We’ll traverse gorgeous landscapes, arriving at a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with awe-inspiring panoramas. Among these, we’ll make a stop at an undisclosed viewpoint - perfect for those memorable photo opportunities.

THE VINO AND MORE
An enchanting old vineyard sits on our itinerary, offering insight into the mysteries of viticulture, the art of winemaking, and the intricacies of wine aging. Douro wines and their unique properties will no longer be a mystery. Tasting the wines of this region is akin to personifying the land itself, revealing its essence through rich aroma, intricate flavors and a harmonious complexity.

MORE THAN JUST WINE
Before the midday meal, there’s nothing more fitting than a private, one-hour cruise. Here, you’ll savor delightful snacks and drinks as you soak in the surrounding natural beauty.

FINISHING UP
The last leg of our trip includes a visit to another exclusive family-owned vineyard. Here, you can tuck into a delectable home-cooked Portuguese meal complemented by the property’s own wines. Afterward, you’ll have the opportunity to explore their captivating estate.

Great day in the duoro valley - Had an amazing time with Carlos!! Such a dreamy and fun day! We went to two wineries and had a fun boat tour. Carlos was a great tour guide and really informative!

A Fantastic Day - Our tour of the Douro Valley was an incredible experience. Leo, our guide, was funny, informative, and an excellent guide. The views we had driving through the valley were stunning. The wines were delicious and paired well with food. We had a homemade lunch that was one of the best meals we have had in our time in Portugal. I can’t recommend this trip, or our guide, Leo, enough!

Don’t miss this one! - We had a wonderful day with our guide Bruno who was enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable about both the Duoro valley and Portugal in general. The boat trip, wineries, food and all the wines excelled. We would strongly recommend that everyone makes time to take this tour during their stay in Porto.

Amazing tour - worth every penny! - We had an AMAZING day tour of the Douro Valley with BL Heritage Tours on July 20. Our tour guide and driver José was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the drive time fly by with interesting conversation and information. We had 2 visits to small vineyards with personalized tours and very generous tastings with the winemaker of each vineyard, with tapas at the first and a delicious homemade multicourse lunch at the second. We rounded out the afternoon with a private boat tour on the Douro River with more local snacks and portotonicos. Interspersed with our drives were stops at incredibly beautiful vistas for photos. Everyone we interacted with on our day tour was knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to chat and answer questions, no matter how esoteric. And it was all in English, which was much appreciated since my Portuguese is very poor. We cannot recommend this tour enough - it was worth every penny, and tour company thought of everything. Thank you for an amazing day in the Douro!

What an amazing day - We booked this tour after being in Lisbon and Madeira for a week. Our tour guide Leo was from Douro Valley and shared so much about his childhood to make the trip so meaningful. The first vineyard was one where they still stomp their grapes. We tasted different types of rose, red and ports learning the differences between ports. We did a boat ride with lovely snacks and finished with lunch at a spectacular small, family winery. The lunch was amazing, the wine was delicious and the views were breathtaking. Highly recommend.

Fun and Informative! - This trip was a great way to see and experience the Douro Valley! Our guide for the day, Leo, provided a fun and informative tour of the valley highlights--the vineyards, small villages, the Quintas, the river cruise and a fantastic lunch. Thanks to Leo, we also got to know a bit about each of the other tour participants which made spending the day together even more fun. If you're interested in learning about how port is made and only have one day to see the Douro Valley, I highly recommend this trip!
