Fun Adventure - We were able to join in on a group ride with another lovely couple. The horses had so much personality and were a pleasure to guide us along our trot along the trails and glimmering beach!

Incredible birthday. - My girlfriend gifted me this activity, and it was truly wonderful. It was approximately 2 hours during which I completely forgot that the rest of the world existed. The way the guides treated us and the horses is incredible. Thank you to the entire team that made this possible.

Enjoyable Horseback Riding Experience - I recently tried horseback riding and had a great time. The staff was friendly and helped me get comfortable with the horse. The ride through the scenic trail was relaxing and enjoyable. It was a unique way to connect with nature and experience the thrill of riding. I'd definitely recommend it for a fun outdoor activity.

15/10 Would Recommend - My husband and I did this horseback riding tour with Portugal Active in May 2022, and loved it so much we came back again in March 2023. This time, we were a group of 5 adults: one experienced rider, one advanced beginner, and three who have never before been on a horse. Jorge and Andrés were our drivers; punctual, communicative, kind, and informative. Our riders were Carolina and Mariana, who are both highly skilled equestrians. They did an excellent job of keeping our group of all abilities comfortable and safe. The beach is gorgeous, the scenery stunning, and the ride was one of the best experiences of our trip. The horses are verifiable SAINTS: for anyone who may be nervous about riding, have no fear. I've been around horses for over two decades, and truly have never seen horses better behaved and more responsible than these.

Lovely Well Kept Horses, with a Great Ride Along the Coast - Brilliant hack which catered for a very mixed ability group of strangers. Lots of encouragement given to a guest who was very unsure about the experience but agreed to try it. Lovely, well kept horses to suit all capabilities. Beach riding available from 15th September I believe. Instructors/ owners have clearly chosen a business they love, show lots of respect for the horses and their welfare. I would thoroughly recommend with 45 years of riding experience.

Horseback tour in Viana - Best horseback riding tour I’ve ever done away from home. Well run, nice horses, excellent guide. Rode along trails, beach and up to old windmills- awesome- good value.

Marvelous - We had an absolutely fabulous time. The staff were friendly, the horses were saints, and the scenery was stunning. I'm an experienced equestrian, my husband is an advanced beginner, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our time. We'll absolutely come back when we're back in Portugal.

Great experience throughout - We had a really great time on the horse back riding tour of Portugal active with a Beautiful beach side scenery and Mountain View of an old mill :) The horses where extremely relaxed and well behaved! Even for less experienced riders it was a great experience and the instructor made sure to make us feel and be safe. Would definitively recommend!

Horse-back riding - Horseback riding was very nice. You are not riding on the actual sandy beach (like pictured) but it’s a trail by the beach with good views of the ocean. The instructor was very nice and helpful. However they “forgot” to pick us up at 8:45am as they were supposed to. I paid $770 for 4 people. I waiting 45 minutes for our car ride to the stables and they never showed up. I had to have the hotel order us a taxi to get there, which Viator paid for but it was an inconvenience and the customer service refused to offer any kind of partial refund or credit. I will unfortunately not use Viator in the future due to this incident and lacking kind customer service.
