- MACS - This unique workshop will be led by our professional artist and will give you the chance to get hands-on and creative. The workshop takes place in a large artist studio, where you will get a chance to glance at the creative process of multiple contemporary artists.
During the workshop the tutor will tell you about the history of Portuguese tiles Azulejos and differences between the styles and techniques. You may choose to follow a traditional design or unleash your creativity with your own unique pattern. No worries if you have no prior drawing or painting skills - you will be able to choose from 10 different traditional Portuguese tile design stencils to trace using carbon paper. All materials will be provided, including one tile per person and three vibrant colors to choose from.
After glazing your tile, it will need to be fired, so you can either pick it up after five business days at our studio in Rua da Boavista, or have it mailed to you for an additional fee. (Europe - 15 euros, USA 25 euros per parcel with tracking number).
