Did you realize that over 250 different types of grapes are used in Portugal’s vibrant wines, which is more than in any other country globally? During our tasting, we will sample TEN distinct wines from various regions throughout Portugal.

We will kick things off by sampling a FRUITY GREEN WINE from Portugal’s northern border with Spain.

Next, we’ll explore the WHITE WINES, starting with a complex but typical one from the DOURO region. After this, we will taste the refreshing wines of the BAIRRADA region, followed by a unique mineral-rich variety from DÃO. We wrap up the first half of our tasting with a full-bodied WHITE WINE from ALENTEJO.

As we prepare to explore the bold world of RED WINES, I’ll offer a special surprise to ease the transition.

Our RED WINE journey will begin with TWO robust and full-flavoured wines from various DOURO regions, then we will break open a crisp RED WINE from BAIRRADA. Next up, we will taste a unique RED WINE from DÃO, ending our excursion with a highly structured RED WINE from Alentejo.

Amazing wine tasting! - This was a delightful wine tasting. Host was knowledgeable and personable, and the location was perfect. The experience was a perfect way to learn about Portuguese wine! A great value for money

Perfect Self Indulgence in beautiful Porto - Wonderful voyage around a beautiful country without leaving the table. A wonderful experience for anyone hoping to learn a little bit more about Portugal while self indulging with the most exquisite wines sunny Portugal has to offer. Amazing guide with tones of experience and good humour.

A hugely enjoyable, educational and entertaining experience - This was a great tasting experience - we sampled a wide variety of Portuguese wines, guided by a host who was knowledgeable and friendly. I can highly recommend this experience, it's a great way to become better acquainted with Portuguese wines in a relaxed and informal atmosphere!

Amazing wine experience - The wine tasting experience was fantastic! When we arrived with had a bunch of wines and glasses were all laid out for us. We had a great host - great teacher, very friendly, full of life and passion for wine and teaching. He explained to us the different regions of wine in Portugal and the basics of different kinds of wine. We tried a bunch of whites, reds and even a port wine. All the wines were TOP quality so they were all really enjoyable to have. We learnt how to see the color, taste the wine, mostly it was a lot of laughing, talking and drinking. We chose this tasting because of the sommelier experience/status of the host and the fact that it showcased a variety of wines from all over Portugal, not just Douro, not just Port wine. This turned out to be a great decision. Strongly recommended, this is definitely an experience you should sign up for!!
