Amazing evening with Pedro! - We had the best time eating and drinking with Pedro! It was wonderful getting to know him and learning about Porto and the amazing culture here! The wine, food, history and suggestions were terrific! Thank you!!

Amazing tour with Ana - Our Drinks & Bites tour with Ana was so much fun. She took us to three bars (each increasingly off the beaten path) and arranged amazing vegetarian food for us at each stop. She also introduced us to three different local drinks and explained each one. Ana was very generous with her time and the tour went well over the allotted 2.5 hours. But the best part was the conversation. We learned so much about life in Portugal and Ana patiently answered all of the questions we had. Ana is a true Porto local and an evening with her is like getting together with an old friend. I highly recommend this tour with Ana.

Amazing local lady! - Ana was amazing. She really cares about her city and about accommodating. She is a true local and she really made us feel at home. She was knowledgeable and I felt she was good at “reading” us and what would make our experience wonderful.

Great experience - We loved our tour with Vera (actually taken in May 2019). It was really delicious and interesting. We really appreciated Vera modifying the tour's pace and contents to suit my picky children and tired parents. There was truly something for everyone and she even wrote down recommendations and booked us reservations at her favourite restaurant for later in the week. Completely above and beyond the call of duty was the assistance she gave us with translating on the phone for us for a medical appointment. This was invaluable and we are very grateful. All in all, we had a brilliant time and can highly recommend Vera for local and tasty tours.

Vera helps you feel l Ike a local - This review is actually for a food tasting tour we did with Vera in Oct. 2018. We had a really fun morning with Vera, learning about the local food, traditions as well as some history. It was a great orientation to Porto - now We feel like locals! She went to special effort to make a great tour for us on a public holiday, when many places were closed. We highly recommended Vera as a guide. Now I want to go back and do a wine tasting tour with her!! So many lovely tucked away spots for a glass of wine in the old city of Porto and so much lovely wine.

Great Food and Wine Tour. Go where the locals go! - Vera's passion for Porto and the food and wine it offers is evident. She is very much concerned about her clients, and checked in with us often as to how we were doing and what she could do for us. She goes the extra mile! I loved the variety of foods we tried. I really appreciated going to the local establishments and eating what the locals eat. Loved, loved, loved, the cacharrinhos, the cod fish cake, and the nata. Worst tour ever - total rip off, what's described is not what's provided! - This was the worst tour I have ever taken! I have loved the many walking food tours that I have taken in many cities around the world. My tour guide, Ana, failed horribly on this haphazardly arranged evening. During the very long evening, the only food I received was a shared appetizer of sliced cheese and salami at the first stop and a small pastry at the second stop. (Why would she take me for dessert on the 2nd stop?!) We then walked around for over an hour. At the 3rd stop, only a glass of wine was offered - no food. The evening was a very long 3 1/2 hours - it was only supposed to be 2. I finally had to go back to my hotel (exhausted and hungry) and have something to eat there. What a miserable experience and I'm so sorry that I gave up an entire evening of my precious few in this wonderful city.

Worst tour ever and a complete rip off - do not waste your time - This was the worst food and drinks walking tour I have ever experienced - and I greatly enjoyed this type of tour in numerous cities around the world. It's a great way to sample the local dishes and drinks as well as get a local's perspective. There was just very little food provided and the tour lasted even an hour over the appointed time. I only had an appetizer of sliced cheese and salami and a glass of wine at the first stop. For the second stop, which should have been the dinner part described as a signature dish at a restaurant, I was taken for a eclair dessert. I said that I did not want a dessert and received a small pastry filled with meat. That was the only food I received the whole 3 1/2 hour evening! I finally said that I was exhausted and had to leave and went back to my hotel to have something to eat! I was wondering if I just got the whole thing wrong and when I got back to look up the tour description, I saw that it was supposed to include 3 different stops for food. I wrote Ana, the tour guide, and she said that she would refund my money and that we should work it out between us. Well, what a surprise that she never made it to my hotel until after I told her I had to leave. I feel that I was greatly taken advantage of here and it was a horrible experience - and I gave up one precious evening of my visit to this amazing and beautiful city where I had such wonderful experiences everywhere!
