Port tasting with a charismatic sommelier - Out recent tasting experience in Porto was exceptional. The sommelier's expertise was impressive, their passion for Port wine was contagious, and their guidance throughout the tasting significantly enhanced our appreciation for this unique fortified wine. The sommelier expertly explained the details of each Port, from its production process to its distinct flavor profile. Their explanations were informative yet engaging, making the tasting both educational and enjoyable.

A really intersting experience - This was a really excellent experience. Guide (sorry, have forgotten his name but he was from Madeira!!) was so knowledgeable and clearly passionate about his subject. The Ports we got to sample were all excellent and was interesting to hear why certain ones paired better with certain things compared to others. Also thought it was excellent value for money. Would highly recommend.

Juan was amazing and super knowledgeable. Couldn’t get better value at twice the price - We found it on TripAdvisor and it was amazing. 30 minutes turned into an hour so knowledgeable so much fun we couldn’t recommend it more highly.

A warm welcome to Porto - We enjoyed two fantastic experiences with PortoLocals: Port tasting with Adriano and a walking tour with Gregorio. Both highly informative learning experiences and very entertaining, the events made us appreciate the tastes and views of Porto more than we could have expected. 5 ports were paired with different food to enhance the flavours including sweet & savoury. Adriano explained the history, wine making process & the differences. Gregorio who is highly knowledgeable on history culture & architecture. He took us to lots sights around the historic area including San Bento station, town hall, bookshop, English quarter, Parisian street and more - about 2.5-3 hours. We also had time for a coffee break. We started and ended the walk at their venue which is very tasteful, modern & central - a great starting point for the walk & nice venue for tastings. The warm welcome brought sunshine to our rather rainy visit, so we will be back again - highly recommended 5*.
