During this day-long journey, we’ll be circumnavigating the valley by car, stopping at three significant points. Two of these stops will entail visits to intimate, local wineries where a local producer will guide us through their vineyard and offer us a sample of their products, including everyday wines, homemade Port wine, olive oil, bread spread, homemade jams, and seasonal fruits.

For our midday meal, we’ll head to a charming tavern in Pinhão. We’ll be offered two main courses, a choice of meat and fish along with a salad, and drinks. For those with specific dietary preferences, excellent vegetarian and vegan options are available, but we would need prior notice.

We’ll conclude our day with a serene 1-hour boat excursion on the Douro River, where we’ll witness the wild vine terrains and vintage wineries and terraced landscapes.

We should reach Porto around 6:30 in the evening.
