The street art heritage of Portland predates us all, though it only came out of obscurity in recent memory. A vibrant collective of street artists has made the inner Eastside the vibrant nucleus of the avid street art movement. We begin our journey from this epicenter, where we will ensure you are properly equipped with a bicycle and helmet for an enjoyable 4-6 mile/8-10 km tour. We’ll showcase some of the city’s oldest artistic media and landmarks, such as wheat paste murals and a marvelous community-built skate park, as well as the latest innovations including striking spray paint techniques and modern buildings conceived for artistic display.

You’ll gain insight into the world of graffiti, become acquainted with some enduring artistic legends and the emergent stars of our city, witness the art-filled environs of chic imported good stores, comprehend the link between artistry and protest movements, and depart with your mobile filled with a plethora of bright images!

Interesting and fun - I had a great time, and see the city differently after the tour. Kelly, our guide, was great at managing the bike riding aspect, showed us a variety of interesting art, and told us some great stories. It was fun, and enriching.

Dope Experience - We booked this tour for a chance to explore the artistic side of the city, to celebrate our anniversary. It was a great experience. Kelly our tour guide was so kind and very patient with us. We didn't have gloves and it was freezing that day, and she provided us with some. We hadn't ridden bikes in years and needed time to practice so she let us practice for as long as we needed (which took us 30 minutes😅) We didn't feel pressured or rushed at all, which was very much appreciated. The tour was awesome. Very amazing art worth seeing. 😊

A great way to spend a couple of hours taking in sone fantastic street art! - We were looking for something different to do on our trip and absolutely loved our street art tour! The tour was really well done and hosted, my wife and I had a lot of fun and were amazed at the history and abundance of interesting street art. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for something slightly different that they can do alone or in a group. It is a bargain at $38 and a great way to spend a couple of hours - don’t forget your camera! AAA+++

Thanks Everett! - We loved this tour by Everett! What a cool way to explore the industrial side of Portland. Everett had such great enthusiasm for Portland street art with the added bonus of tid bits about the real history of Portland. Thanks for a lovely afternoon! -Jackie and Sara

Must do! - Excellent! An absolutely fabulous way to see parts of the city you may ordinarily overlook. Being taken around by a local, it’s just the best way to discover somewhere new to us travellers. It was a very easy bike ride, very easy pace, and I’m not a keen rider! A must do!

Great art and art theory - Not only is the art itself outrageously cool — and so much of it! — but also the education about the street art scene in Portland was rich, fascinating, and almost like a fun college class in the theory of street art. I unhesitatingly recommend this!

A Basic Street Art Experience - Our guide was Dustin who grew up in Portland. He was personable and funny, but we didn't get the feeling of having a passion for street art. He was patient and allowed us to explore/photograph the art work as much as we needed. We had bikes that were comfortable and had strong brakes. Helmets and a bottle of water were included. We have been on many street art tours and we would have liked some deeper conversation regarding the murals and artists. We mainly visited large murals - we did not focus on stickers, paste-ups and graffiti. We did get to see a variety of artists creating new art on the day that we were out - we thought that was interesting. We would suggest adding on a quick stop at a local coffee or tea shop - we rode right by Smith Teahouse (a great opportunity). Use those opportunities to help travelers connect and learn more about Portland area. We did not ride by/talk about food cart pod as mentioned in the description. We did not learn about the Hawthorne bridge going up/down - your description made us feel that we would. This tour allowed us to feel out the Central Eastside industrial area.
