Additional Information

The Columbia Gorge NSA, extending 85 miles (137 kilometers), could have been a national park if not for its vital role as a transport corridor. It’s home to waterfalls, mountains, monoliths, resort towns, vineyards, orchards, and terraces—and of course, The River, which hosts various birds, fish, and unique plant and invertebrate species. Back in the early 1900s, folks from Portland would travel in their Model T cars along the Columbia River Highway, America’s first scenic highway, to take in the beauty of the waterfalls. Rumor has it there are over 4000 waterfalls, with many tucked away, but also many that are easily reachable from the Historic Highway. This all-inclusive tour offers an exploration of the Gorge’s lush, waterfall-rich western southern side, affording experiences like standing under waterfalls, peering over cliffs, and learning local narratives.

Loved the gorgeous Gorge - Brittany, our driver, was a pleasant and well-informed guide. She was prompt, and was flexible when a couple of other passengers needed extra time at Multnomah Falls. I very much appreciated the willingness to pick up/drop off at the Edgefield Hotel, although they do specify a downtown Portland pickup. Since we had not rented a car for our short visit, this would have been a deal breaker for us. I'd been to Multnomah Falls and the Columbia River Gorge before but my daughter had not. She really enjoyed the tour and was impressed with the beauty of the area.
