- 320 Fore St - Whether you’re a newcomer or a long-time resident of Portland, this tour provides an exciting and novel way to discover the Greater Portland area.
Travel in comfort in one of our Ford Transit passenger vans as we explore the city’s core and its picturesque surroundings. The tour begins on Fore Street, a delightful historic road that runs alongside one of North America’s last active waterfronts.
We’ll pass by cobblestone streets, brick row buildings, and some of Portland’s most iconic shops, brewpubs, and restaurants—many located in the city’s oldest commercial and residential buildings. The mix of historic charm and modern vibrancy makes this neighborhood a local favorite.
- Portland Head Light - Stroll around Fort Williams Park, home to Portland Head Light, one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world! With cliff walks, memorials, and stunning views, you can take photos, visit the Lighthouse museum/gift shop from May to September, and enjoy a bite or treat from the park’s food trucks, offering lobster rolls, chowder, gelato, and whoopie pies!
- Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse - At Spring Point Ledge Light, we will park and stop for 10 minutes. Here, your guide will explain the significance of this lighthouse, which is located on a 900 ft. granite breakwater, along with early 1800s military installations in the area, and scenic views of the coastal islands of Casco Bay! Feel free to ask your guide for photos taken during this stop.
- Bug Light Park - At Portland Breakwater Light, known locally as “Bug Light,” you will have 20 minutes to visit one of Maine’s smallest lighthouses still in operation. Featuring beautiful Greek Corinthian columns, this lighthouse is situated on a much shorter and safer breakwater, allowing you to walk out and enjoy stunning views of Portland’s waterfront!
- Commercial Street - As we conclude our tour, we drive through Commercial Street, offering a glimpse of one of North America’s last working waterfronts. This iconic stretch in Portland’s Old Port district features cobblestone streets, 19th-century fishing wharves, and bustling piers still used by lobstermen and local fisheries. You’ll also see a lively mix of boutiques, restaurants, and pubs, all housed within some of the city’s oldest brick and granite buildings.
