- Villa Alvor - Situated on the northern border of Portimão and Alvor, this expansive estate offers stunning views of the Monchique mountain from its vineyards. The property also features cork trees, wheat fields, and orange groves. Owned by the same family since 1865, they have been grape producers for generations. In 1999, they established a modern winery and became the first to produce certified designation of origin wines in the Algarve. The family’s rich tradition is evident throughout the estate, from the esplanade to the shop and oak barrels.
- Quinta Do Frances Winery - Located north of Portimão, in Silves county, this exclusive wine farm is the northernmost in the region, at the foothills of the Monchique Mountains. Owned by a Portuguese-French couple who met in Bordeaux, the husband grew up surrounded by the wine culture. They moved to the region at the start of the century to create this project from scratch. Nestled in the Odelouca River Valley, they planted their vineyard and built a small but well-equipped winery, which includes a tasting room, barrel room, and laboratory.

Great wine tour! - Fabio was helpful, knowledgeable, and comfortable to be around throughout the day. The van is also comfortable and air conditioned. We both get carsick and had no issues even going up and down the mountain. There were two of us, so we did one premium tasting and one regular tasting at each Quinta, which was a fun way to try more of the wines. Driving up to Monchique was very beautiful, and you get to see the cork forest on the way up. We went to O Luar da Foia, where we both tried black pork. This is a LARGE amount of food, so go hungry, because it is delicious! Overall, this was a wonderful experience. Fabio is very patient and personable, and answered all of our questions. The wine and food were delicious. Fabio’s recommendations were great. Don’t skip this!

You won’t be disappointed - We visited two vineyards with our guide Fabio, he was very knowledgeable and friendly. The lunch at the restaurant up the mountain was amazing. Authentic Portuguese food with an amazing view. You won’t be disappointed

This is an intimate wine... - This is an intimate wine tasting and learning experience that Fabio has curated. We learned so much about the history of Algarve wine production through modern day, and simply relaxed and enjoyed the beauty of the mountains and welcoming spirit of the residents in this region. Bonus black pork consumption included.

Exellent - It was a very fun and informative excursion. Fabio covered the wine making process from the vine to the bottle. The wine samples were great and he did a great job describing the variations of different wines we sampled. Sunset view from top of the mountain was beautiful and dinner was absolutely fantastic.

Great wine tour with lunch - We had a great tour. We started at a winery near the coast. We sampled several wines and learned about the history of the area and the process of wine making. There were options for several kinds of wine. We then went to a different winery about 10-15 minutes away in the mountains so the wines were very different and it was fun to contrast and compare the two places. We then drove about 15 minutes to a cliffside restaurant in the mountains. Lunch included appetizers, wine, mains, and dessert, it was a ton of food and very good. Overall we had a great time and would recommend.

Amazing Algarve Wine Tour! - This wine tour was such a fantastic experience! We visited two wineries, walked through the vineyards, learned so much about the region and winemaking, and even got to pick fresh oranges right off the trees. The wine tastings were amazing, and we couldn’t resist buying a few bottles to bring home.
Lunch was at a charming local restaurant in the mountains where we tried delicious regional dishes—it felt so authentic and cozy. Afterward, we went to the top of a mountain for the most stunning views of the Algarve.
Our guide was super friendly and knowledgeable, making the whole day fun and easy. For the price, it was incredible value. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Algarve!

Great tour! - We participated in a tour with Fabio with a total of 4 people, which we all enjoyed immensely. The communication in advance is very pleasant and soon the tour was arranged.
The tour itself was fantastic too. We were picked up neatly on time by Fabio and soon it was very pleasant during our drive to the first vineyard. Fabio is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and can tell in detail everything about the local wines and gastronomy. After the visit to our third winery, we visited a beautiful trip over one of the highest viewpoints in the Algarve, where we were just in time for a beautiful sunset.
After this we drove to a local restaurant in the mountains, where we enjoyed a delicious dinner together with Fabio.
If you are a lover of wines, I highly recommend booking a tour with Fabio!

Faultless wine tour experience! - I couldn’t fault this trip, absolutely recommended.
Fábio was an incredible host who made the trip even more special - first the initial email exchanges he put me at ease and was clear in his communication and extremely went out of his way to accommodate our group which slightly larger than normal. His knowledge of wine and the local region was outstanding and he was great company!
The trip was excellent value for money and the group has been left with wonderful memories of a fantastic day.
Thank you very much Fábio, I hope we will be able to return in the very near future

Algarve Wine Tour and trip to Monchique - A fabulous tour. Fabio was very knowledgeable about the wineries, the wines of the Algarve, and the local food. The scenery at the wineries was lovely and the view from the restaurant at Monchique was breathtaking.
