• Villa Alvor - Situated on the northern edge of Portimão and Alvor, this expansive estate offers stunning views of the Monchique mountain from its vineyards. The property also features cork trees, wheat fields, and orange groves. Owned by the same family since 1865, they have been grape producers for generations. In 1999, they established a modern winery and became the first to produce certified designation of origin wines in the Algarve. The family’s rich tradition is evident throughout the estate, from the esplanade and shop to the oak barrels.
• Quinta Do Frances Winery - Located north of Portimão, in the Silves county, this exclusive wine farm is the northernmost in the region, nestled at the foothills of the Monchique Mountains. Owned by a Portuguese-French couple who met in Bordeaux, the husband grew up surrounded by the wine culture. They relocated to the region at the start of the century to launch this project from scratch. They planted their vineyard on the slopes of the Odelouca River Valley and built a small but well-equipped winery, which includes a tasting room, barrel room, and laboratory.
