The path leading to the Rio Seco waterfall commences on the Toco Main Road just past the bridge over the Rio Seco River close to Sally Bay. The entrance to the trail is clearly marked on the main road. Hikers have the option to start their journey directly from the main road or to travel around 2 kilometers on a rural road to start the hike from a point further inland.

• The Rio Seco Waterfall in Trinidad is one of the island’s most breathtaking sights. Although it’s not the tallest waterfall, it is well known for its expansive deep basin teeming with emerald green water. The slanting face of the waterfall allows for a simple ascent to its peak, and its deep dive pool encourages visitors to leap and splash in.
• One of Rio Seco’s inviting features is the relatively easy hike to the waterfall. The trail is broad and well-marked, better than most other waterfall trails, taking hikers just about an hour to complete. This makes the waterfall particularly popular amongst visitors, families, and groups of friends.
