Great time with a fantastic crew! - The crew was friendly, knowledgeable and so helpful and patient especially with getting the kids set up with equipment. Snorkelling spots were incredible! Good lunch and snacks. My kids has food allergies and it was assuring to know they don't use nuts in their kitchen.

I made a tripadvisor account just to leave my dive instructor ROMAN a 6/5 review. Highly recommend! - He was so patient and kind, especially with my being very nervous for my first ever ocean dive. Thank you for helping me cross off the biggest item on my bucket list! ♥

Top trip, top crew, top vessel and aged friendly - The vessel, the skipper and the team could not do enough for us. Such a professional setup and experience delivery. The opportunities presented on the GBR got better with each stop that Calypso XII made. I took the trip with my mum who celebrated her 70th birthday recently and isn’t the fittest of people. The entry and exit to the water was made easy enough for her by the vessel design and the crew were very attentive throughout. I’m so glad that I chose the Calypso to make this trip.

Great Experience Aboard The Calypso - This is my second trip out to the Reef to snorkel. The last one was 3 years ago with a different company. Calypso provided an excellent experience. We boarded the boat at 8.30am and after a quick head count etc we were off. We had 3 stops at 3 different reefs. The 2nd Reef snorkel also had a complimentary guide to discuss different marine life etc. This was very interesting. I missed out on morning tea as snorkeled the full time 1st stop, and as they do not serve hot drinks while underway, I missed out. But that was ok, snorkeling is why I was there, morning tea was just an added bonus. The 3 reefs were all quite different to each other, so all were interesting. Lunch was plentiful, good variety and fresh. We were well looked after and they paid special attention to a member of our party who was new to snorkeling. The photographer took lots of snaps underwater and gave people the opportunity to purchase photos of themselves on the Reef. $25 per photo or $50 for all the images of yourself/ yourselves (not sure if on flash drive or emailed to you?) There was a talk on the way to the third reef about the reef, the biodiversity of it and why it is so important and special. This was also very interesting. The one thing that was a bit annoying was, our trip was booked by our hotel. It cost $825 for 3 of us. When I got to the wharf, I picked up a discount booklet. In it is a 10% discount for The Calypso. So could have saved $82, which is about $100 NZD if we had been told. Not an amount to be sneezed at! Overall a fantastic trip. Would definately snorkel with them again.
