Great introduction to the vastness of the Azorean cuisine. - Very informative pleasant half day learning about the local cuisines and markets. The Portuguese cuisine is so vast, especially on São Miguel in the Azores. So rich in dairy products, fresh fruit, fish, breads and meats. Learning this in a small group provided the opportunity to meet other interesting fellow travelers as well.

Loved the Food Tour - Great guide! Very knowledgeable and friendly. Took great care of us. All the food on the food tour was terrific. He knew all about each building, plus the history of the region. He even knew real estate prices

Great tour , great guide - Frederico Oniell was our wonderful guide and concierge. I enjoyed his histories and stories that accompanied our walk and tastings throughout. The tastings were delish and plentiful.

Awesome Food Tour - Fabulous food and history tour! Our guide Fred was professional, friendly, polite, and extremely knowledgeable!! Highly recommend!! All food stops were well planned and spaced and all the food and drinks were plentiful and delicious!! Highly recommended!!

Awesome mix of food and culture - Fred was an amazing tour guide. He blended food, culture and history with humor and local insight. Highly recommend this tour. Also suggest you don’t eat a meal beforehand - lots of food!

Great tour - We really enjoyed the tour. Fred was very informative in his descriptions of the town. He was very cognizant of making sure all went well and well taken care of. The food was fabulous and we enjoyed every stop. Would highly recommend this tour !

Fred and Hungry Whales - 5 stars - The tour was amazing and Fred was an excellent guide! His knowledge of Azorean history and attention to detail were obvious from the moment he welcomed our group. Would most definitely recommend Fred and Hungry Whales for a fantastic experience!
