- Salto do Cabrito - On the way towards Ponta Delgada, we will stop at the refreshing waterfall scenery of Salto do Cabrito. The course on/off road may vary according the climate conditions.
- Lagoa do Fogo - The Fogo Volcanic Complex, features an abundance of species of endemic flora and secondary volcanism manifestations, that consists on fumaroles and hot springs. The caldera of the Fogo Volcano is the smallest caldera collapse of the island of São Miguel, with about 15 thousand years. Given to its location in altitude, it is the most natural area and with the less human intervention suffered. It is an important hydrologic resource being classified as a Nature Reserve since 1974.
Because of its structure, it plays an extremely important role particularly in the replacement of underground water, regulation of the water cycle, biomass production, retention of sediments and nutrients and is therefore classified as Ramsar site.

Concealed within a vast crater, at a height of 575m above sea level, is the stunning Lagoa do Fogo, positioned at the apex of the Fogo (Fire) Volcano. The scenery’s grandeur intensifies our sensory experience, enriched with lush, sometimes indigenous, vegetation set against a breathtaking backdrop that showcases the splendor nature bestows, imprinting an indelible mark on your memory.

Great Jeep tour of the island - Jose was a wonderful guide! It was off season and he took the time to adapt the tour to what we would be able to see on the day (despite the fog). He was so knowledgeable and really went the extra mile- would highly recommend!

One of the best! - We had the best time on our tour! We did a half day tour to Logoa do Fogo and our only regret was not booking a full day tour. It was so fun with many great stops and lots of awesome history and information about the island.

Wonderful Experience - José made this tour wonderful! The drive was so beautiful, and the stops along the way were incredible. There was fog over the main lookout point, but we still left feeling like we hadn't missed a thing! The 4X4 car allowed us to see places we never would have gone on our own.
José adapted the trip based off of our pace, which made this tour such a comfortable experience. José was a wealth of knowledge for the history of Sāo Miguel. We learned so much! This tour was wonderful!!

BEST Azores Tour!! - José María was the absolute BEST guide!! Could not recommend him more. He is Incredibly knowledgeable on the history of Portugal and the Azores, he is funny and very personable. He is also very patient and is willing to take all the pictures you may want. Best your guide on the island, you will be very happy!!!

Wow! Perfect tour! - Jose knows everything about the island he was born and raised on. He is very knowledgeable in History, Biology, Ecology, Geology and more! The pick up and drop off were as easy as can be, and he is very flexible with the pace of the tour. If you want to slow down and take something in or speed it up and get on the move again, he's all for it.
He has a very friendly personality and it was a pleasure to get to spend time on his island with him.
The sights we saw on this tour were some of the best we have ever seen. I couldn't recommend this tour or Jose strongly enough.

Your dream guide - This is the first tour we booked for the day we arrived in Azores. I wish Jose was available for the rest of our vacation! He is unbelievable! We were lucky to be the only ones on this tour and Jose definitely took care of us. From stopping at a small cafe for a sandwich with us because we didn’t have lunch to recommending restaurants for dinner, driving on off the path roads and explaining to us history of Azores vegetation and geography Jose is definitely the best. He is not just a guide, he is a nature specialist, he will name and give you a history of every plant on the island.
If you are into learning new things and making great memories, Jose is definitely for you.

Amazing experience with the great tour guide - We had absolutely amazing experience on the tour.
I was looking for something to fill the gap between the planes, but I was pleasantly surprised with the tour. Jose is very knowledgeable guide. We have learned a lot about the island, history, vegetation.
We have seen amazing places, Jose helped us with showing best view points and taking great pictures. Lots of useful information

One of the best tours ever - Jose met us with our name on a sign as we walked out of the cruise port. While other guests were cramming onto tour buses hoping to glimpse some of the island from foggy main roads, Jose whisked us off the beaten track in a comfortable 4X4. We were able to get close to several sites without the walking. He was an expert in all the flora and fauna but was especially fascinating when describing the volcanic history of his home.
I suggest you book him early once you know you are going to Ponta Delgada.
