Outstanding Guide - Maria was an excellent guide, patient with kids and passionate about the story of Pompeii so we made the most of our trip there. We can't overstate how important it is to have a guide given the vast area of Pompeii and the need to contextualize everything. Grateful to have had Maria as our guide. Thank you

5 Stars – Best Family Tour of Pompeii! - This was hands-down the best tour we’ve taken as a family! Our guide was incredible with the kids—he kept them engaged from start to finish with questions, fun facts, and amazing stories that made the ruins come alive. He had so much energy and enthusiasm, and you could tell he truly loves what he does. We felt like we were exploring Pompeii with a family friend—he was warm, patient, and treated us like we were part of his own group. The tour was full of fascinating historical insight but never felt too heavy or dry. Even the adults learned a ton! Highly recommend this experience to any family traveling to Pompeii. It was fun, educational, and truly unforgettable.

Great tour two kids - This was an incredible tour of Pompeii. Lello very engaging with the children. There were many details that we would never have seen on our own., which are tour guide pointed to. I do wish we had gone to the amphitheater, though, we did not see that, and I wish he had pointed us to the amphitheater. Apart from that everything was great.

Great kid friendly tour! - It was great, we learnt a lot about the beautiful city of Pompeii and it's dramatic end. The kids were really engaged throughout with lots of games and quiz questions.

Wonderful Pompeii Tour with Loretta - This tour was a great way to tour Pompeii with kids. Loretta was an amazing tour guide - so much energy and enthusiasm! She was a wonderful storyteller, bringing vibrancy to the ruins as she described the sights and sounds and smells as they might have been when the city was active and alive. If you go with her, ask her to sing for you in the amphitheater - she had everyone around getting their phones out to film her as her beautiful voice filled the grand space! We booked the 9am tour, and the tour itself was about 2 hours and took us through the main areas of the ruins and a few side streets. We had our three boys with us, ages 8, 10, and 15. They are not particularly interested in ancient ruins, so much of the grandeur was lost on them and they did sort of tune out at times. But Loretta did a great job of noticing that and catching their attention again, and as we discussed it later, we were surprised by how many of the details they remembered, even when they seemed like they were tuning out. We were thankful to have this tour with just our small group instead of the much larger cruise ship tours we saw all around us. Loretta also helped us understand how to read the map in case we wanted to continue to explore on our own after the tour, but we decided that was enough, as we wanted to catch a shuttle to Vesuvius as well. (If you do go up to Vesuvius to hike to the crater, book your hiking tickets several weeks in advance, as they seem to get bought up in advance by the tour companies, even in the slower seasons.)

Totally recommend! - Lello was the most fantastic guide for myself and my son. The way he engaged my eight year old was perfect and his knowledge was second to none. As an eight year old his attention span is limited to be expected and this tour was the best way to get the most out of the ruins on a hot August morning. I’m just sad I couldn’t spend a whole day there! He made the school stories of Pompeii come to life.

Pompeii has a lot of... - Pompeii has a lot of ground to cover and we had a great time on the tour. Loretta conveyed key pictures of what the city was going through in the years before the quake and what happens at the site to this day. The kids enjoyed her enthusiasm. I’d recommend 8yrs or older as best time to do this - kids should have stamina and focus.
