The journey begins in Polignano a Mare, renowned for its cliffs and sea caves, and proceeds to Monopoli, where visitors can explore the historic center featuring the Cathedral of the Madonna della Madia and the Castle of Charles V. After a stroll along the ancient port, the tour moves on to the Egnazia Excavations, a Roman archaeological site, and the Lama d’Antico rock park, known for its caves and settlements. In Speziale, a picnic stop among the olive trees offers local products sourced directly from the area. The journey continues to Cisternino and Locorotondo, two of the most charming villages in the Itria Valley. Following a visit to the Salumificio Santoro, the route crosses the Selva di Fasano, and then returns to Polignano a Mare for a cooking class, where participants learn to prepare orecchiette, focaccia, and almond cakes, providing a perfect conclusion to a day immersed in Apulian culture.
- The ‘young’ category, i.e. children under 18, is considered as a passenger and cannot drive the vehicle.
- The minimum age to drive the Vespa is 18.
- To participate in the tour or to rent a Vespa, previous experience of riding on scooters/Vespas with automatic transmission is required. In the absence of such an experience, the reservation cannot be confirmed. On the day of the tour, a test of driving skills will be carried out: in case the participant does not demonstrate sufficient mastery of the vehicle, it will not be possible to continue with the tour for safety reasons.
