Great experience! - We had a great experience booking through Nepal Wilderness. Everything was well planned and we had good and exciting experiences - first in Chitwan National Park and then on our trek to the Mardi Himal. In Chitwan we stayed in a cosy place that provided food morning, noon and night. We explored the area with guides from the hotel, went canoeing to see crocodiles and took a jeep safari the same afternoon, all included in our package. If we could have changed anything, we would have liked to go deeper into the jungle with a full day jeep tour. After 2 days in Chitwan, we took a tourist bus to Pokhara where we stayed at Hotel Chino. It was great to spend a few days in Pokhara (and experience the Holi festival) before trekking to the Mardi Himal. And we have to say, we had a very dedicated team on the trek! Our guide, Abinta Raul, was always extremely cool and helped us whenever we needed anything. Abinta is super sweet, knowledgeable, friendly and always up for a game of Monopoly (which she probably has in her bag if you are ready for a game!) She also has a lovely humor and occasionally sings with her beautiful voice during the trek! We can also highly recommend our porter, Jit Bhadul. He is ALWAYS smiling, so you can't help but be in a good mood around him! And if there's anything you need, Jit is always ready to help and will drop whatever he's doing. We feel incredibly lucky with our little "team" and would recommend these two lovely people to anyone else considering trekking! We had such a good time with them even though we were only away for 5 days in total. We wish you all the best, Abinta and Jit.

Je recommande - I highly recommend Nepal Wilderness for your treks in Nepal. I did the Three Passes trek in Khumbu with Duk Basnet and the Mardi Himal base camp with Yakub Ghale and I was very satisfied. These guides allowed me to make lots of discoveries in addition to being able to adapt to my needs. I thank them for that.

Amazing and memorable - I went for Mardi-Himal with ABC Trek. the journey with my guide Sujan tamang was absolutely fun. I wanted to complete the trek in 9 days, which was meticulously planned by Sujan. The quality of lodges where I was taken and the food offered by the lodges was really amazing. I strongly recommend this company to anyone who would want to take a tour in Nepal.

Great Mardi Himal Trek with guide Budha - Thoroughly enjoyed my Mardi Himal trek organised through Nepal Wilderness Trekking. It was easy to organise online and Himal was very prompt in replying to my queries via email. I ended up doing the trek solo with my guide, Budha. He was always very positive; smiling and laughing throughout our trip. He was also knowledgeable and made an effort to educate and inform me as much as possible. He handled all the organisation at the teahouses and had good rapport with a lot of the owners which made it incredibly easy for me. Perhaps most importantly, we got to the view point (4200m) without any issues! Overall a great experience!

Excellent Nepal Trekking Company - I used the company Nepal Wilderness Trekking for two treks last October. Both treks were solo treks with a guide, the first was the three passes trek in the Everest Region and the second was the Mardi Himal Trek in the Anapurna region. Both treks were fantastic experiences. The three passes trek had been a long term goal of mine, and I wasn't disappointed. Though difficult-it was everything I hoped for. At first I thought of doing the trek solo, but then decided to go with a guide. I'm so glad I did and I'm so glad I booked the trip through Nepal Wilderness Trekking. Having the company handle all the logistics and having a guide with to book the accommodations made it so handy. It was also great having a companion going up the passes. The company also was so valuable in regards to getting to the Star of the hike in Lukla. They originally booked my flights, but due to weather no flights were able to go for days, so a guide from the company as able to book a jeep and get us to the start of the hike (with a longer approach). Trying to arrange this on my own would have been a hassle. I then was able to adjust my trip to make up the missed days - so I could still complete the whole route. I also completed the Mardi Himal trek in Annapurna region. It was a much easier hike, but it was great having the company arrange all the logistics to get there. I also had the nicest guide one could imagine for this trek - Diku Sherpa , one of the only female guides I saw on my whole trip. Nepal Wilderness Treks was also very responsive, accessible to reach (which really made a difference with the Lukla flight cancellations) and their prices were extremely reasonable. I highly recommended them if you are looking for a trekking company, especially if you are solo or a small group.

A great first trekking experience for a family - We did the 5-day Mardi Himal Trek at the end of December 2023 with our guide DB, Gouduh, and another porter. My wife and I are around 40 and our two kids were 12 and 10 when doing the trek. The trek was a wonderful experience and I am so happy that our kids were able to experience something like this at their age. DB was our experienced guide and it was his leadership that ultimately made the trip so rewarding. He knew the routes well and was able to make recommendations based on our interests as well as his observations of our progress. He interacted so comfortably with all of us and gave us so much information about Nepal. We always felt that we were in good hands. We made it to the 3700m Mardi Himal high camp and woke up at 4:30 on the 4th day to attempt to get to the 4500m Mardi Himal viewing platform to view the sun rising and shining on Fishtail and the Annapurnas. Unfortunately, the altitude started to affect our kids and they were too uncomfortable to continue. Our 10-year-old turned back earlier with my wife, and then my daughter had to turn back with me about 45 minutes from the platform. Despite this, I am pleased that we were able to do this five-day trek having no trekking experience. Adults should have no issue with the walking distances, and our kids didn't either. Most hikes are about 90 minutes in duration between a sit down for a meal or a tea. The longest day was 6-7 hours but at a slow pace. Food was hearty but filling. Prices rise for drinks and non-included meal items as you get higher. It gets very, very cold around Mardi Himal High camp, but the sleeping bags provided by Nepal Wilderness Trekking are very warm, and tea houses also provide thick duvets and blankets. Bring lots of layers for the last day or two.

Mardi Himal with guide Sujan (nov 2023) - I had a really great time on the Mardi Himal trek filled with stunning views and cozy tea houses. My guide Sujan was very nice, friendly and helpful. We had several interesting conversations along the trekking and he taught me about the Himalaya’s, Nepalese culture and language. He is patient and would let me decide the pace of the trekking.
