It gives you a deeper understanding of the Tibetan culture (food, medication and art), Tibetan Buddhism and Tibetan history. One of the best tours!! Highly recommended :) - I had an incredible experience with Thupten as our guide. His extensive understanding of Tibetan culture, history, Buddhism, and the lives of monks truly impressed me. He patiently and enthusiastically answered all of our questions, and he went above and beyond to introduce us to his rich cultural heritage. BEST EXPERIENCE IN POKHARA - This tour is incredible. My partner and I just finished the full day morning tour (starting with the monks chanting, and finishing after lunch). We cannot recommend this tour enough - Thupten, the guide, is knowledgable, kind, and humble. You truly learn more about Tibetan refugees in Nepal, the monastic life, and Buddhism. You also get to see an incredible Mountain View from the Sakya Monastery. The carpet showroom is beautiful and very reasonably priced for such talented handicraft. Everything you engage with is community run. This is not a site seeing your but a passionate cultural tour. Do not miss this opportunity if you are in Pokhara. Thug-je-chey Tibetan Encounters, and Thupten - you have created a lasting impression.

Powerful experience about Tibet - Amazing time spent with Thupten on the Half Day Tour! It is really an immersion in Tibetan culture, we also had the chance to see clearly the Annapurna's. Appointment with a monk, a tibetan doctor also help to debate and know more about how powerful Buddhist philosophy is... A must do in Pokhara if you are willing to do immerse in Tibetan culture rather than just taking photos

The most special experience - This tour is an absolute must if you're in Pokhara. Thupten was an exceptional guide, educating me about Tibet's rich cultural and religious history. Having the opportunity to speak to a monk and doctor from the community were also incredibly special as I got to ask questions and learn more about their day to day in an authentic way. I feel so grateful to have had insight into the lives of people living in the refugee settlements and how their lives have changed over time in Nepal. Thupten thank you for pushing forward with your personal mission to educate and raise awareness about Tibet - your message is spreading! I feel privileged to have had the chance to meet you and will endeavour to contribute by sharing what ive learnt with those around me. Thank you

An unforgettable encounter! - This tour was food for the body, a feast for the eyes, and first and foremost, so much food for thought. Thupten, the tour guide, is a living library with a sweeping, in-depth story to tell, and has spent years crafting an experience that combines delightful cultural experiences (art, monastic ritual, food) with a multivalent and deep narration of the Tibetan refugee population and their experience in Nepal. I ended my tour with a greatly expanded awareness of Tibetan history, geography, and geopolitics, and a few powerful ideas from Tibetan Buddhism that I will be thinking about for months to come. This was an enjoyable, intense and mind-expanding morning, and very, very worth the time and money.
