Tortuguero National Park - Canoe Tour: Navigate Through Channels and Experience Living Nature

The adventure begins at the main pier of Tortuguero, where participants will board a canoe to explore the canals of the National Park.

During the tour, surrounded by lush vegetation, there is an opportunity to closely observe an impressive variety of wildlife: alligators, tropical birds, river turtles, monkeys, and many other species that inhabit this unique ecosystem.

Tortuguero National Park - Turtle Spawning (from 01 July to 10 October) or Day Walk Tour (from 11 October to 30 June):

Turtle Spawning: After meeting with the guide, participants will receive an informative talk and prepare to head to the beach. They will wait on the beach until the park ranger indicates the location of a turtle, or take short walks along the beach to find them. During the journey, the guide will provide details and information about the turtle spawning process.

Day Walk: Explore the Jungle on Foot with Expert Guides
Accompanied by certified guides, participants will walk the trails of the National Park, discovering the fascinating history of this unique nature reserve.

Along the way, they will learn about the incredible diversity of forest flora and fauna, taking a close look at various species of plants and animals in their natural habitat.

1. Night Jungle: Duration 2 hours
   Join expert certified guides for a nighttime forest walk, where you can observe the fascinating interactions of nocturnal wildlife.

2. Canoe Tour: Duration 2 hours
   Embark on a canoe tour through the Tortuguero canals, where you can witness a diverse array of wildlife and enjoy stunning views.

3. Turtle Spawning: Tortuguero National Park is a crucial nesting site for several species, including the Green and Leatherback turtles, the latter being the largest sea turtle in the world and currently endangered. Turtle spawning occurs from July 1 to October 10. After the spawning season, this activity is replaced by the Day Walk Tour (from October 11 to June 30).

Day Walk: Duration 2 hours
Explore the trails of the national park during the day and admire the rich variety of flora and fauna.
