Smooth and great day trip - It was very smooth from start to finish. The bus was comfortable. My guide, Ralitsa, was great and very aware and flexible with the group’s needs. I learned and saw a lot without feeling overwhelmed by information. I can see the benefit of maybe having a tiny bit of extra free time. Overall, I would highly recommend this trip. The drive through the country side was also quite pretty.

Wonder - I went with my holy mother to know Bulgaria in general and I must admit even going in the summer I could go to the beach is very worth it, the culture and the whole of this country and recently, finally, you will have the euro in your day to day

Great guide, interesting history, and a great afternoon! - Communication with both the transportation team and guide were very clear and pleasant. In Plovdiv getting out of the bus we met our guide and the tour started immediately. We saw all of the old town and got great info about the history and nice recommendations for food. Our guide (Rally) was very nice. There was also plenty of free time to shop, eat or just go for a drink or two. Would really recommend!

Plovdiv is Lovely - Plovdiv is a highly recommended place to visit. Driver = no complaints. Got us from point A to point B safely. Travel = decent stops for a quick toilet break along the way Guide = Knowledgeable, pleasant, time-keeper. Although i chose the self-paced option

A must do - This is an easy “yes you must do this tour.” The drive over was super comfy in a bus with A/C. Not a long drive at all. Tour provided some information about the surrounding area but not a lot. We arrived in Plovdiv and were handed off to an English speaking tour guide. She did a great job with explaining things and provide the his of the different buildings and areas. Only issue we had was she was soft spoken and hard to hear at times. But anything you missed she would repeat without any problem. The tour lasted 1.5hrs and then we have 2hrs to explore and eat. We walked around a little more and then went to a local Bulgarian restaurant and had amazing food. This is a must do tour. Loved it.

We took one look at the tiny van and left - We took one look at the tiny van for the tour and left. Tour’s from Sofia require long trips - 1.5 to 2 hours each way. Naturally the tour operator wants to “pack ‘em’ in”. The prospect of a long trip in the middle seat of a small car was not acceptable.
