Embark on a journey to discover southern Crete’s hidden coastal gems, with this tour commencing from the North shore of Heraklion. Our route takes us through the scenic vertical road flanked by vineyards and olive gardens, charting course to the verdant Messara plain dotted with greenhouses for cultivating vegetables. Our first halt is at a renowned local winery, where we’ll interact with the minds behind these excellent wines. A tasting session of five unique labels, each founded on local grape varieties, awaits us. Afterwards, we head to a secret beach along Crete’s southern coastline, featuring crystal clear waters, ideal for a refreshing swim.
Next, we visit an intriguing site - a Greek Orthodox Monastery established in the 14th century and tied to the Kallergides family.
Subsequently, we’ll have some downtime at our hidden beach, basking in the sun and swimming. The tour wraps up at the quaint fishing hamlet of Kaloi Limenes, where we’ll relax and enjoy lunch, with another opportunity for swimming.
