Setting Sail on the Sea Passion

The sun was high in the sky as I made my way to Playa San Juan, a quaint fishing port on the island of Tenerife. The air was filled with the salty tang of the ocean, and the gentle lapping of waves against the dock was a soothing melody. I was about to embark on a fishing trip aboard the Sea Passion, a boat renowned for its intimate and quality experiences. There were 36 in total, including playful calves that leapt joyfully alongside their mothers. It was a breathtaking sight, one that reminded me of the wonders of the marine world I have dedicated my life to studying.

The Sea Passion’s small size allowed us to linger longer than the larger tour boats, providing an uninterrupted view of these magnificent creatures. The sense of tranquility and connection with nature was profound, a reminder of why I fell in love with the ocean in the first place.

A Dive into the Blue

After our enchanting encounter with the dolphins and whales, we sailed towards the cliffs, their rugged beauty a testament to the island’s volcanic origins. Here, we anchored and donned our snorkeling gear, eager to explore the underwater world.
